PitBull Unit Frames 4.0
PitBull Unit Frames 4.0
Woof. Arf. Yip.
Getting Started:
You can help translate PitBull for your language with the localization tool.
Classic
PitBull works with WoW Classic! Classic Era/Vanilla is supported in
v4.3.x-vanilla
releases. Cataclysm Classic is supported in v4.2.x
releases
(the same releases retail use).
Classic Era caveats:
- Aura duration is not available from the API, so PitBull uses LibClassicDurations to show them. The duration can be inaccurate if it's affected by rank or talents.
- Cast info is only available for your spells from the API. PitBull uses LibClassicCasterino to show cast bars for other units, but this can be inaccurate since there is a lot of guess-work involved.

I'd be curious to see the saved variables file from PB3 if you have it.
All that aside, I'm not sure we want to implement that. I suppose you can open a ticket but really not sure when and if we'll ever implement it. Right now I'm not really coming up with a way to preset this to users that doesn't seem convoluted.
(The pictures helped me understand what you were wanting a bit better. I will poke the shefki with a pointier stick and see what the difference was that you got that in PB3 but not PB4. ^_^b
I must say you're doing an amazing job with helping people out here :)
Once again thanks for an really great addon
Check "Custom Background" AND "Color PVP by Class" That will give your custom color if your target does not have an energy but will energy color that bar if they do.
Let me know if that solves your problem :)
I guess the problem is that the custom background sets the deficit color for all power bars, no matter if it's an enemy, players or NPC.

As you can see in this print screen the background color is set as I want it, however the deficit color for my target is in the same color as my Custom Background is set to rather than the color of my player frame.
I hope this explaination made sense.
@Tinolyn, Not sure what you're asking for Absolute and Short are somewhat mutually exclusive.
@mscxaoc, In your installation of SharedMedia there is a file called "INSTRUCTIONS for MyMedia.txt", follow those instructions and you can get SharedMedia to have access to that font.
@Shefki, I didn't specifically have SharedMedia as a separate addon, but I just downloaded it now and I'm still running into the same issue.
However, upon testing that, I was able to figure out that the text issue was related to 1 addon that I was not loading for my Paladin. That addon is apparently the only addon that is using that style of font (or at least has access to it). Upon loading that addon, I finally have the correct fonts and texts for all characters.
This brings up a secondary question then: Is there a way to "copy" that font into PB so I don't need to load that addon all the time?
PitBull4: Right-click on a (de)buff is protected since 4.0.1, instead do:
/cancelaura <name of the spell they right-clicked>

Also, at first I was quite overwhelmed by the configuration. I've used a lot (all?) of unit frames replacements and so I'm .. "used" to complexity. But after some time I have grown to understand how things work and programatically why they were set up that way. Very impressive and thorough UI! I'm still working out all the cool things I can do.
Would you consider packaging alternate configurations from users? It wouldn't add too much bloat, and it would certainly help new users and inspire customization.
I know there is a request to have configurations be able to migrate and be shared. Its not something that has been finished yet though and I can not offer an ETA.
As far as the aura situation goes, the current plan is to offer an alternative aura module that will restore that functionality. (sadly at cost of other features) which will allow users to choose which they would prefer to use. Again... building new things takes more time than fixing bugs so... no ETA on that either.
Glad you like Pitbull :)
Out of curiosity, is there a way to develop a lua text for Absolute Short and Percent
at the same time, of course.@H0PE, There's a ticket you should probably add your comment there, but thanks I'll investigate further.
@ZoltanZ, /pb, Modules, Hide Blizzard, Uncheck Raid. There is an issue right now where the Manager won't show some of the raid officer features if you joined the raid before you unchecked Raid. If you reload the ui after unchecking it, everything should work normally. It's on my todo list to figure out, not sure if that is what the problem you are having or not.
However, rightclicking buffs to disable them became a protected function in 4.0 and will not be working until an entirely new aura module is written. You will need to use /cancelaura SPELL or the Default Blizzard frames
A /rl might help this , but its very annoying.
We will continue to look into the error.
