PitBull Unit Frames 4.0
PitBull Unit Frames 4.0
Woof. Arf. Yip.
Getting Started:
You can help translate PitBull for your language with the localization tool.
Classic
PitBull works with WoW Classic! Classic Era/Vanilla is supported in
v4.3.x-vanilla
releases. Cataclysm Classic is supported in v4.2.x
releases
(the same releases retail use).
Classic Era caveats:
- Aura duration is not available from the API, so PitBull uses LibClassicDurations to show them. The duration can be inaccurate if it's affected by rank or talents.
- Cast info is only available for your spells from the API. PitBull uses LibClassicCasterino to show cast bars for other units, but this can be inaccurate since there is a lot of guess-work involved.

To get your name to just show name and not afk or DND:
Select Lua:Health and Choose "Custom" from the cod drop down. Put this into the box:
return Name(unit)
Press the Accept Button.
Dead is a reaction in the Lua:Health portion.
If you use "Health: Smart" as the code it will only show how much someone is low on health and DEAD. Full health will not show any numbers.
However! This won't fix right clicking off the auras with PB4. Blizzard decided with 4.0 to make that a protected function. You CAN use the default Blizzard icons (upper right) to click them off... just not the ones on your frames. :(
There is a plan to write an aura module that will restore some of that functionality but I can't give you an ETA on when it will be done. Sorry :|
The latest and greatest version from 10/12 corrected it from throwing that error.
Seems to be working fine after i did a restart.
As a corollary to your tale... now you have just PB4 instead of PB3+Grid. Thus you have simplified your live ^_^b
(I haven't played Prot in some time :X)
Can you tell me how it shows up with the default Blizzard interface? (for example an icon with a number showing how large of stack, or a power aura style proc)
As far as not wanting civilian (NPC)coloring.... aside form the default options... what were you hoping would be the coloring? Are you wanting all the NPCs a specific custom color or....?
Most of the default (green and blue like the blizz defaults) is available using the "Color NPC by Hostility"
So I just got into some problems and thought I'd ask for help here.
All day yesterday and today I worked on configurating Pitbull4 to look like it did before the patch, I was pretty much done as just finishing the small parts, one thing I got annoyed about was the coloring for civilians so I thought I'd remove that from the lua file, so I did and did a backup copy off the file incase something went wrong.
And just as I thought something did go wrong, terribly wrong, my whole configuration was reset when I logged back in, so I thought well np, I got my backup copy, so I deleted the old one and replaced it with my backup but as I laungh the game it still resets all settings.
I tried removing all the addon files and reinstalling it and putting in my backup file afterwards. I also tried launching the game to create a new Lua file and then afterwards copy pasted in the configurations from my backup one. This is really annoying and I really don't feel like spending all that time to reconfigure it.
Is my file corrupt? What can I do about it?
The text part in the Lua I removed was almost at the bottom under "Colors" and then "Reaction", I removed the part where "civilian" gets its color but afterwards as I noticed it didn't work I added the text part again.
Here's a link to my Lua file if that helps: http://www.speedyshare.com/files/24700135/PitBull4.lua
Thanks in advance!
You probably wanted to disable Color NPCs by hostility or to edit the Civilian color under Reaction.
It got confusing as when targeting people I really couldn't tell which class they were as all had the same color.
And yeah I did edit a lot in my config file, it was all to make it look like it did pre-patch, everything worked fine however untill I changed that last bit.
LOVE it, very intuitive configuration, not nearly as complicated as i've heard people say, makes much more sense than x-perl.
Anyway, just adding a thanks for all your hard work in between the "halp" comments.
Cheers
