PitBull Unit Frames 4.0
PitBull Unit Frames 4.0
Woof. Arf. Yip.
Getting Started:
You can help translate PitBull for your language with the localization tool.
Classic
PitBull works with WoW Classic! Classic Era/Vanilla is supported in
v4.3.x-vanilla
releases. Cataclysm Classic is supported in v4.2.x
releases
(the same releases retail use).
Classic Era caveats:
- Aura duration is not available from the API, so PitBull uses LibClassicDurations to show them. The duration can be inaccurate if it's affected by rank or talents.
- Cast info is only available for your spells from the API. PitBull uses LibClassicCasterino to show cast bars for other units, but this can be inaccurate since there is a lot of guess-work involved.

Well, you obviously did since you've changed your unit frames from the default settings and for this you surely had to dabble around there. I wonder that you even had to ask this question, because the "Target's target" and "Target's target's target" frames are listed just next to the "Player" and "Target" frames at the options' "Units" page. To disable the display of those frames simply choose the frame named after that specific unit and uncheck the corresponding check box.
Also, you can separately change every bit of any changeable frame settings for every unit (or set of units) by creating additional "Layouts" for each of them - and you can move them around the screen too, so you don't have to keep them at their default positions cluttering your screen like that.
The only setback with using different Layouts is that there's currently no "Default" settings to apply to all of them at once, so changing one thing with a certain layout doesn't change it for another and you'll have to do that manually. It's still a more elegant solution (compared to PitBull3's) since that way you can have the same units have different layouts for different group sizes (via Filters) without having to change anything like profiles or layouts manually when the group's size changes (as you had to do with PB3).
Just experiment a bit more with all those options and you'll see..
Awesome addon! The low cpu usage is remarkable. Thanks a lot for sharing this.
costomojin, that's the Power Bar. Go into Bar settings and fix its color.
any help would be great as i've used pitbull for donkey's years and dont want to change to something else.
Can anyone tell me how to make this bar black?

Yes grid has options of set ranges. What bugs me is a friendly will fade at a range of 8 yards on my hunter but a hostile will fade at 28 yards meanwhile my attack distance is 35 yards on all hostiles. Is there any way to setup a range setting that is not dependant on hostility of the thing the frame is showing?
Thanks.
Maybe i am missing an option somewhere, but my party frames disappear when i enter any Arena games.
Didnt use to work like this, and i have been looking through the options for awhile to see if there is an arena frames module added, but dont see one.
Any idea why my party frames are auto hiding, when i enter the arena?
I suspect he may be referring to Grid's ability to offer several ranges of range detection. You can have it fade/change colour/make little blobs appear in corners with different colours/etc for a number of distances not just the default 30yds/40yds
Bossman, could you explain it a bit more if possible? I have never used Grid that much so i am not sure what you are looking for.

I have a seperate look for my 5 man, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 40 man raid.
This new pitbull is great with its layout system.
I love Pitbull so I really want to figure out what changed.
Anyone got any ideas?
All you have to do is set a layout that you want for your tank group.
On the left side, click on GROUP > then goto Filtering
At the bottom, there is a dropdown list. Select Main Tanks from it and you are good to go.
I appologize for my ignorance in advance, but i recently started playing a healer and found a few problems. I am not sure if this version of pitbull deals with them yet since i use pitbull 3 still.
1) Grid, for example, has an option that allows you to add particular debuffs to its settings, such as Slag Pot. Only people affected by it have a debuff icon on them. Is Pitbull 4 capable of doing something similar? (while not showing any other debuff that the boss may have placed on them).
2) I was testing few things out with pitbull today in a bg, and found that it generates its Debuff on Friends list as they take place. So there is no way of actually disabling them in advance (I was testing this on a Paladin). Is there a way to show only specific debuffs for your party/raid members and not every thing? (this again is pretty much looking for what i am looking for in request above).
Thankyou.
