I'm getting a swathe of errors mostly like this:

Interface\AddOns\PitBull4_Aura\Update.lua:507: PitBull4_FontString_4:SetText(): Font not set

But also ones concerning quartz (are they not compatible?) and many many more pitbull four ones

It was working fine until I joined a group for an instance run, we wiped and after that I was disconnected and it completely bugged out, and does it every time I log in

Really not sure what I was thinking when I made that change. Reverted, updated alpha packages should show up soon with it put back. Honestly though, you really should only be using beta versions unless you are prepared to deal with some weirdness sometimes.

since updating it today, the group party has been showing everyone in the raid and not just the 5 in my party. I remember there being a filter for like Show only Group 1.2.3. etc but i either can not find it or it was removed/moved :(

getting the same bug here.. really could use a fix for this cause I can't even disable the party frames because they decide to randomly show up when they aren't even enabled -_-

Same here, just upgraded from beta4 to beta5 and although the minimap button is showing and all the config seems as it was previously, no PitBull frames are showing, just the Blizzard ones. Any ideas?

Doh, solved it - gmfagundes, did you have WoW already open when you updated? beta5 seems to have changed Pitbull4 from being a single addon to being a few dozen separate ones, as Pitbull3 was. All the new addons will not be picked up until you fully exit and restart WoW (that solved the problem for me)

This addon is a bloody joke compared to pitbull 3, bring back pitbull 3. This is a joke.

I'd point you to some of the guides I linked a couple pages back. We are using a different model than we did with PB3. Once you understand the model it is actually easier to configure. But if you're coming from PB3 it is probably confusing.

What exactly doesn't work. I'm sure we have bugs, but saying half of the addon doesn't work is simply an exageration.

I have no idea what you mean by click configure. If you want to configure click bindings for spell casts use Clique we don't provide that feature and won't. Clique does a great job with this and there's no reason to include it in this addon.

strsub is the function you're looking for:

short_variable = strsub(variable, 1, 3) would get the first 3 characters in the string located in variable.

Is it possible to truncate custom lua text strings or am I wasting my time trying to do it? I'm looking for a way to clip character names to 3 letters without ellipses for tiny raid frames.
