Posted Apr 28, 2010I've been using PB4 for some time now and love it...LUAtext is ruling my world atm. :) I have a problem with tank frames that the Tank Frames FAQ doesn't answer.
ORA3 uses the Blizzard tank frames. My guild uses ORA2/CTRA and I'd like to move away from the, frankly pretty ugly, ORA2 MT frames. I tried configuring PB4 tank frames but, as expected, they don't seem to work with ORA2, only ORA3/Blizzard tank frames. Is there a way of getting PB4 configured to use ORA2 MT frames? If not, is anything in the works?

Posted Apr 27, 2010I've got pitbull all set up as i want. I've already logged out beforehand, so the settings are saved.
However, whenever the game crashes, all pitbull settings are completely wiped out. The file in the 'savedvariables' folder goes from 190kb to 10kb. Why does this happen?

Posted Apr 26, 2010It sounds like some of the texts like what would appear on a bar such as health amounts or power amounts, etc.
You can go to your layout and disable texts one by one to find out which text is showing that you do not want to show.

Posted Apr 23, 2010I mean, when you placed Text ontop of the User Frame, you could determine its general position, lots of options. But then you also had a <Horizontal> and <Vertical> slider option to further define where you want the text to show (Such as Name, Health, or Mana, or Class/Race/Level).
You can define the text placement with a drop down box in PB4, but I couldn't find any detailed sliders to further adjust.

Posted Apr 23, 2010@drakullbr, Not at this time. I'll point out that no matter which unit frame addon you look around for you'll find someone swearing that it's slow to update compared to some other. We don't currently have support in for predicted health, but I'm not entirely convinced they actually work properly for anyone other than the player and their pet. I have the code done for it but I just haven't gotten around to testing it.
@Leo05, I'm not sure there's a best way. You can set the colors anyway you want really. If you want to tie the colors to someones % of health it shouldn't really be that hard, just figure the percent and use it to calculate the color you want to use in the LuaText instead of just using the color returned by one of the functions.
@teeshy13, Yeah that never got brought over from the old site it was hosted on, the guides are getting some more work on them here recently, so it should be rectified soon if it isn't already.
@Patchumz, No idea what feature you're talking about with PB3. Positioning was actually a lot more restricted in PB3 because only one object could exist in a given position, but outside of that there's really no major change in how things are positioned. Maybe if you told me how you were nudging things I could tell you how to do what you wanted.
The color by time colors are not configurable. You'd have to edit the aura module to do it.
Outline() just put it someplace in your code, probably best place would be the first ilne.
Custom Colors override all the other coloring options.
@oDiDio, Not at this time. It'll be possible in the future at some point. If I can find the time to work past some of the issues we're having.
