PitBull Unit Frames 4.0
PitBull Unit Frames 4.0
Woof. Arf. Yip.
Getting Started:
You can help translate PitBull for your language with the localization tool.
Classic
PitBull works with WoW Classic! Classic Era/Vanilla is supported in
v4.3.x-vanilla
releases. Cataclysm Classic is supported in v4.2.x
releases
(the same releases retail use).
Classic Era caveats:
- Aura duration is not available from the API, so PitBull uses LibClassicDurations to show them. The duration can be inaccurate if it's affected by rank or talents.
- Cast info is only available for your spells from the API. PitBull uses LibClassicCasterino to show cast bars for other units, but this can be inaccurate since there is a lot of guess-work involved.

God, I love LUAtext!
I'm trying to make the party names append the realm name when someone is not from my realm. Should be real handy in cross-realm PuGs. Is there a way to add realm text?
Thanks a million for all the hard work!
Is there a way to display the combo points in an own horizontal bar, like AG_Unitframes does? And the same for the DK runes? (Screenshot URL below) It would be so awesome to use this in Pitbull4, because the new ag_uf (I used in in BC times the last time) lacks now of functionalities in my opinion.
Here is what I mean in a screenshot: http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/1029/aguf.png
I'm sorry if this was already answered somewhere, Google couldn't help me this time.
Keep going the great work on Pitbull! :)
@Patchumz: I think you're imaging things in PB3 that weren't there. There were no sliders for positioning individual elements. You largely had the same positioning options you had in PB3 in PB4. With one major limitation that in PB3 only one element could be attached to a given position (e.g. you couldn't put two things the Left spot on the HealthBar). PB4 doesn't have that limitation. That additional makes it difficult to provide offsets from the predefined anchors. If you have two indicators (and yes texts and indicators are positioned in the same way) postioned in the same spot then if one of them isn't being used then will the offset be from the position or from the other indicator. I've got some thoughts on how to deal with giving more control of placement but I haven't gotten to them yet. I remember people using spaces and newlines in their codes to nudge their texts, but I've just gone back and looked at PB3 and I can't find any sliders to adjust the positioning like you're talking about.
@Cayle, PB4 will use tank lists from the various tank list addons with the following priorities: oRA3, oRA2, CT_RA, Blizzard's list. Just disable oRA3 until your guild switches to it. You can disable oRA2 from showing the main tank frames itself by doing /ora mt nr 0 Alternatively, you can edit the GroupHeader.lua file to change that order. Find these three lines:
and change them to:
@CronikCRS, Not at this time.
@Descartes, http://www.wowace.com/addons/pitbull4/pages/faq/#w-how-do-i-leave-gaps-in-my-raid-frames-when-sorted-by
Made the switch from using Grid to using Pitbull for my raid frames. One minor nusiance is empty slots in the raid are not reflected in pitbull. 8 columns, 5 rows; each column is its own group. In a raid where there are 3 people in group 1 and 5 in group 2, it shows 5 in the first column (the three in group 1 and the first 2 in group 2).
I have fooled around in the raid formation, and I am sure I am missing something on how to do this. Can anyone help?
I've been using PB4 for some time now and love it...LUAtext is ruling my world atm. :) I have a problem with tank frames that the Tank Frames FAQ doesn't answer.
ORA3 uses the Blizzard tank frames. My guild uses ORA2/CTRA and I'd like to move away from the, frankly pretty ugly, ORA2 MT frames. I tried configuring PB4 tank frames but, as expected, they don't seem to work with ORA2, only ORA3/Blizzard tank frames. Is there a way of getting PB4 configured to use ORA2 MT frames? If not, is anything in the works?
Thanks for your help.
Thanks =]

I've got pitbull all set up as i want. I've already logged out beforehand, so the settings are saved.
However, whenever the game crashes, all pitbull settings are completely wiped out. The file in the 'savedvariables' folder goes from 190kb to 10kb. Why does this happen?
It sounds like some of the texts like what would appear on a bar such as health amounts or power amounts, etc.
You can go to your layout and disable texts one by one to find out which text is showing that you do not want to show.
