PitBull Unit Frames 4.0

Getting Started:

You can help translate PitBull for your language with the localization tool.

Classic

PitBull works with WoW Classic! Classic Era/Vanilla is supported in v4.3.x-vanilla releases. Cataclysm Classic is supported in v4.2.x releases (the same releases retail use).

Classic Era caveats:

Aura duration is not available from the API, so PitBull uses LibClassicDurations to show them. The duration can be inaccurate if it's affected by rank or talents.
Cast info is only available for your spells from the API. PitBull uses LibClassicCasterino to show cast bars for other units, but this can be inaccurate since there is a lot of guess-work involved.

will we ever be able to place the party frames individually? I really miss that feature and it's the only reason I still can't use this addon even if I'd really like to :(

Hi there, great addon ya have here. Could anyone help me edit the buff/debuff filter list plz if there is one still. I can't seem to find one, on pitbull 3 i used to only allow certain buff/debuffs through the filter that it really benefits me to see.

Maybe im been stupid and just missed the tab with the filter list on.

The problems with VisualHeal are a packaging issue. beta7 fixes this. I'd missed committing some changes.

Further more:
I'm having suspicions that Blizzard changed something with regard to saving addon settings. Half of my minimap icons wont stay in place either but rather resets their position between sessions, slightly disruptive when using a mod to change the round map to a square one... :D

Nothing changed that I'm aware of. Settings are saving just fine for me between sessions. However, that said, if the game crashes on you settings won't be saved. This is the way things have always been though.

Pitbull isn't hiding my default blizzard frames. No matter how many times I go into the options and tell it to hide the default frames they ALWAYS re-appear when I zone or re-log.

I can't help but think this is related to my problem.
PB4 simply ain't saving the settings I change.

The change to Visual Heal disabled my setting for it, I can manually enable it (and it works after I downloaded the LibHealComm package manually as well), but it will not save between sessions.
Rather annoying. ;)

My loading bar logging in still locks up with the new beta6. Only if I disable it will it work. I will assume it's an interaction with my other addons? I'm not loading anything out of date.

I don't think this is caused by PitBull but by server issues on Blizzard's side. Disabling PitBull was probably just coincidental.

I've got a second target bar that is unmoveable. It wasn't there when I first installed it so I'm not sure what made it show up. It shows up right over the mob, though, so it's really hard if I need to right click on it or another mob close by (or just to see what I'm doing for that matter). Frames aren't locked at all in the options. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
I just upgraded from 4.0.0-beta3 to the current 4.0.0-beta6, thinking that it would be the best now that patch 3.3 is out. :)

I kept all my saved variables etc and was hoping that just replacing the addon directory would be transparent.

I've run into this problem though, with my raid frames. The layout etc still looks ok when I enable the "config view", but when I'm in a normal raid and want to see all those poor guildies that need a heal from me (using Clique for that), they're just GONE.

I've tried gooing over all the settings I could identify, but can't seem to find the right one, so here's Your chance to make me eternally greatful to you.

(I'm using quite a few addons, all based on ArkiveUI's compilation, but have stripped out quite a few as well, as they weren't really necessary for me... I've not seen any hint on how to solve this in the forums for ArkiveUI sadly, so I thought I'd check here with you people.)

I'm definitely not an expert on Pitbull, but know my way around code and addons reasonably well.

Hoping that someone can point me in the right direction as I really want to go ICC with the guild now. It was frustrating to just sit there and see them getting closer to not just the first boss, but then the second as well. I just had to leave then, to stop torturing myself :(

Check your show when settings under the raid group(s). There were some changes a while back with respect to how this stuff is done and if you haven't updated in a while you may just now be seeing this configuration change.

Is there a way for me to see my Stormstrike charges and such with Pitbull? I've tried anything to do with debuffs, I still can't see my Stormstrike charges, neither my DOT debuffs with my shadowpriest.

Is there a way to create Opponent Arena Unit frames, or at least a way to set Pitbull to not suppress the Blizzard default Arena Opponent unit frames?

PitBull4 does nothing to the arena frames. If they're not there then some other addon is hiding them. I've had complaints about this before and I'm positive it's not us doing it.

After a great deal of investigation I found the issue, the Arena Frames, and I bet the frames for the Airship event, are tied the the Mini-map. I am using a mini-map mod, Chinchilla, to move the mini-map to the bottom of the screen, when I turn it off I can see the arena frames. I'll let them know.

Posting this here since you said you get this complaint, I bet the issue is similar.

Okay here is a quick rundown of how to setup the frames.

First create a layout. (I currently use 5 layouts, myself, target, targets target, raid, everything else).
Next go under units and groups and assign each unit or group a layout. (my party, party targets, pet, pets target, and targets target all use the same layout)
Adjust individual settings for units and groups (this includes mirroring the frame and scaling)

You can use as many or as few layouts as possible, it all depends on what information you want to show for each frame.
