You can help translate PitBull for your language with the localization tool.

Classic

PitBull works with WoW Classic! Classic Era/Vanilla is supported in v4.3.x-vanilla releases. Cataclysm Classic is supported in v4.2.x releases (the same releases retail use).

Classic Era caveats:

Aura duration is not available from the API, so PitBull uses LibClassicDurations to show them. The duration can be inaccurate if it's affected by rank or talents.
Cast info is only available for your spells from the API. PitBull uses LibClassicCasterino to show cast bars for other units, but this can be inaccurate since there is a lot of guess-work involved.

Hi, im now a PB4 user :) there is only 1 thing im missing, is there an option like in PB3 to change the healbar color from my pet to the satisfaction status? so 75%: red, 100%: yello/orange 125% : Green?

First of all, pitbull is very nice addon, and I appreciate your work very much.

I'm still developing my frames looks and was wondering, is there a possibility you would add layouts hierarchy? I mean, currently when I create new layout, its options are initialized from layout that I was viewing and from that point I deal with them separately. I have many layouts, almost for each kind of frame. Many of them are supposed to have same options but one or two. So It would be great if layouts could derive from each other (one way), and option categories (not each option, thank you) could default to parent layout.

For example, after i created layouts for player, target, targets_target, focus, group, etc, and positioned corresponding frames, I suddenly wanted to make all indicators on all frames smaller (about twice). So, I had to go over each indicator in each layout, and scale it.. It was terrific =) With layouts hierarchy I'd go to top parent (root) layout and change indicator sizes only there.

By the way, indicator sizes could have their own default value for all indicators in the layout.

I didn't dig in LUA code, but looks like you'd save some memory too, with layouts hierarchy.

Just a note, I've spent way too much time over the previous week answering user questions. I spent the weekend doing other things rather than working on PitBull. I'll probably try to get some coding in this week. But I'm probably going to be more scarce as far as answering questions. Just wondering if the auras are global? if not how can i make it so the buffs only show on the target frame and not the player frame?

Youll have to make a new layout called player. Then go to the units section and assign the new layout you just created, to your player unit. (it can get a little confusing so id call it playerlayout). then in the layout editor, disable auras. If all your units are set to the same layout, they will all show the same auras.

Pitbull will lock up if you enter into combat. id recommend not trying to tweak it during a raid

Hello there!
I really love this addon but I have a problem since last update and maybe you could help me. I can't find where to disable display assistants when I'm in raid. I was in 10man and RL gave assist to everyone and I had a huge display of all ppl and their targets (and target's target) plus the actual raid display, on my screen and could not see anything :(
If anyone can help me I would be very grateful.

does pitbull 4 support portraits? I have a great use for them when leveling an alt, and for identifying other friendly players. I've disabled and enabled it several times but it has no effect.
I also get the you are not in a party in the chat log even when outside a bg, however it only happens once in a while so I'm not that worried.

Yes it does. Not only does it have to be turned on under Modules, but under indicators as well.

Since PB4 is so different from 3, there is no way to import from PB3 to PB4. If you use a lot of dogtags in your layout, that could be causing the problem.

hi, im using PB3.0 and got this day a terrible fps lose in raids (its pitbull if i turn it off all is ok, and only raids) and i configured PB3 a long time , is there an option in 4 to import PB3 settings? or do i have to set it up from scratch?

And before I forget. You may wish to create a default raid frame for those downloading the addon for the first time. Otherwise raids do not show. Defaulted there are party | party pets. However I feel the default as follows should exist. Party | party pets | raid | raid pets. Then letting people customize from there. However allowing a almost ready to go feeling right from the start is nice.

Really like the addon. May I suggest allowing the customization of portraits per solo | party | raid. Instead of enabling it to be exact for all 3. For example would allow people to turn it on/off per the 3. For myself I like seeing the icon of my toon and those in the party. However, I dislike showing the icon for those in a raid.

Another suggestion is putting solo | party | raid pets into a small pet icon. Which would allow health/mana to be viewed vertical | horizontal across the pets picture. Thus compacting assisting pets so it takes up less screen space.

I actually tried to configure pb 4 and found it much more complex then 3.0. I promptly removed it and went back too 3 as I didn't like the global buffs/debuffs. I liked being able to size them and turn them off and on easily per unit frame, i don't like having to manually create new profiles for everything, i honestly thing that's twice as much work and more difficult for the average user then just having it already available in the list to manipulate.

What I want is simple, yet with the billions of options this has I can't figure it out.

I've got the individual frames looking exactly how I want ie. health, size, buffs, text, etc. The problem I have is when I go into parties and raids. For a raid, I want group 1, group 2, etc. to always be in the exact same place. Much like with the default raid frames, where you drag "Group 1" out and it'll always be in that position no matter what kind of raid you're in. When I'm in a party, I want it to be just like Group 1 in the raid layout. And individually, I want nothing to display. I don't want to manually switch anything, when say, a party switches into a raid. And I don't want any pet bar or focus bars or target of target of target bars, I just want my party/raid's health.

But I'm testing it right now with one other person in a raid. Depending on where I shuffle us around in the groups we either both disappear or both appear in random places with his pet appearing with his own bar at random places as well. Please help :(
