You can help translate PitBull for your language with the localization tool.
Classic
PitBull works with WoW Classic! Classic Era/Vanilla is supported in
v4.3.x-vanilla releases. Cataclysm Classic is supported in v4.2.x releases
(the same releases retail use).
Classic Era caveats:
- Aura duration is not available from the API, so PitBull uses LibClassicDurations to show them. The duration can be inaccurate if it's affected by rank or talents.
- Cast info is only available for your spells from the API. PitBull uses LibClassicCasterino to show cast bars for other units, but this can be inaccurate since there is a lot of guess-work involved.

Posted Aug 31, 2012Having a problem with the bars not working properly. Sometimes when I use the map by pushing M, with full screen mode on, it will bug out and not show my bars or my portrait.
I just got done doing a dungeon and this problem occurred. My health says i'm at 200k but I'm at 127k and almost dead.

Posted Sep 1, 20121) Note able to replicate the issue with the map, can you replicate this with no other addon loaded? Is there anything in particular you have to do to trigger this or is it random. More details will help.
2) You're using two versions back, before posting issues please upgrade to the currently released version.
3) The error you posted is from another addon. PitBull4_HolyPowerBar is not part of the core PitBull4 package. I don't think it's been updated for 5.0.4 yet. So it's possible all your issues are caused by this.

Posted Aug 31, 2012Why is it then that the 3D works on my normal frame (the unit frame for my character works) but when I have the both simultaneously turned on they don't work.

Posted Aug 31, 2012I really love this addon, I've been using it for years and I particularly like the 3D portraits, however as mentioned numerous times below when I show it on both my normal frame, and target frame one of them is a whole model which I obviously can't live with as it hides the whole bar and other things. I saw you replied to a prevoius post saying to upgrade to directX 11, but it isn't that simple as my graphics card doesn't support it being a little on the old side, and I'm not going to spend hundreds of pounds on a new computer. So what I'm asking is there no other fixes? :S I'd really like to continue using this addon but without the 3D portrait it makes my bars look so plain..

Posted Aug 31, 2012There are no other fixes. Everyone using 3d models is impacted by the same issue. The issue is on Blizzard's side. Hopefully they'll fix it in a future release. You'll find the same issue with other unit frame addons as well.

Posted Sep 1, 2012I don't know. I don't have access to Blizzard's code so I can't say I understand why things are behaving the way they are. I just know that I can't fix them. In fact I can't even replicate the issue since I use a Mac. Wish I could resolve the issue, but I can't.

Posted Aug 31, 2012I am having a problem with v32 and v34, where my Pitbull profile doesnt load properly after logging in, or a UI reload.
I have to create a new profile, and then copy from my normal profile to get anything to show up. After a reload, this breaks again.
Anyone got a fix or had this issue also?
Edit: I just realised something: I had a slight custom edit of Pitbull which included some boss frames. Since my profiles had these, could the lack of boss frames be killing my profiles? :(

Posted Aug 31, 2012Yes that's probably part of the problem. You should be getting a Lua error which would confirm it.
Press Escape to get the game menu to come up. Choose Interface. On the Game Tab choose Help. Check the Display Lua Errors box and press the Okay button.
Post all the errors you're getting.

Posted Aug 31, 2012I have an issue with the last update for patch 5.0.4. The 3D portrait of my target's target and focus' target is like pulsing or "refreshing". It's really annoying because it appears and disappears many times per second and it seems like lagging.
P.S. I'm playing with DirectX 11

Posted Aug 31, 2012That's probably because of some changes I made to Portraits to make them work generally better. I didn't think to test them with wacky frames (wacky means that Blizzard doesn't generate updates for the frame so we have to poll to get them on our own). I'll look into it.

Posted Aug 31, 2012I actually do have portrats on targettarget and focustarget turned on. It's working fine here. While trying to reproduce this I did see some flicker with one particular player I targeted (in all frames, not just the wacky frames). I'm not sure what the issue there is. I've gone through my code and I don't think the bug is on my side.
