Getting Started:

You can help translate PitBull for your language with the localization tool.

Classic

PitBull works with WoW Classic! Classic Era/Vanilla is supported in v4.3.x-vanilla releases. Cataclysm Classic is supported in v4.2.x releases (the same releases retail use).

Classic Era caveats:

Aura duration is not available from the API, so PitBull uses LibClassicDurations to show them. The duration can be inaccurate if it's affected by rank or talents.
Cast info is only available for your spells from the API. PitBull uses LibClassicCasterino to show cast bars for other units, but this can be inaccurate since there is a lot of guess-work involved.

There is an elite border option in PB4, check your layout for your target frame under Other > Borders and see if you have it enabled.

However, no it does not use the dragons.

I checked, and no this is not currently possible. There is a portrait feature but it's just adding a square portrait with no graphics like the original interface.

Hi there!

For some unknown reason, my Pitbull 4 raid frames are displaying all priests' mana as very low values, I've seen it go as low as 5k mana.

Is there something specific that might be causing this? Thanks!

It's working well for me. I suspect it's a configuration issue.

- Layout editor (on the left)
- Current layout (dropdown) > party (or raid)
- texts (tab)
- current texts (dropdown) > Lua:Power

You want to check the settings here. It sounds like you're using a shortform. Maybe try:

- code (dropdown) > Power: Absolute

PB4 was made to be much lighter than PB3. It's very strange that it would be slow for you. I wonder if you're stuck in the configuration mode..

- type /pb to get into the configuration screen
- check the top-left "Config mode" dropdown. Make sure it is set to "Disable"

I found it easier to configure once I understood how it was done. Would you like to try my configuration file out? Maybe my minimalistic defaults would be a good starting point for you?

- Quit wow
- download http://uploadmirrors.com/download/1VFH9DQG/PitBull4.lua and put it in your Wow's WTF\Account\ACCOUNT_NAME\SavedVariables folder.

This will not overwrite your original Pitbull 3 settings, just the pitbull 4 ones.

If you don't like the changes and you want to go back to the defaults, then

- exit wow
- delete that PitBull4.lua
- restart wow

ckknight, would you consider inclusing several different style templates such as the one above? This would help new users save configuration time or give inspiration to power users.

The ability to import layouts is a ticket being worked on. I believe there is a testing stage of the module in the ticket comments. Vangual was working on it and was looking for people to test it.

PB4 is a different design concept. You should probably read the guide linked above if you are having trouble understanding it.

PB3 gave you a list of every possible frame and made you configure each layout for them individually. If you wanted to duplicate a look you had to literally duplicate your steps. PB4 lets you make as many or as few layouts and apply them as many or as few times as you like.

I'm not sure why you find it sluggish, as I have not seen this, can you give some more specific examples?

I realize its probably not gonna happen.... but I really, really miss PB 3.0.
4.0 won't work for me, either. If there's a library I need to re-install or update I dunno, but even so 4.0 is slow, sluggish, and makes less sense to me than 3.0. No intention of bein a jerk, just trying to provide helpful criticism... I never let go of 3.0 until this stupid xpac forced me to. Now, I'm not sure the game is even worth playing without my PB 3.0. It's that deep.

Something wrong with my Pitbull... I need to configure my party frames and somehow it work so far with 1 of my friend on my party, but the "Party Target" is actually MY target that showing...

Config mode was broken with a patch update and we are working to fix it. Check what you have set for including the player frame in your party frames to make sure you have them set the same.

Just wondering if / when the config modes will be fixed? Apart from this, an awesome mod and I hope you continue with the project for a long time to come (or for at least as long as I continue playing wow hehe :)). Thanks again.

Hi, tried silkfire's male worgen fix, i'm now getting the right worgen models but all other races are now full body which i didnt want, did i make anything wrong?
If yes, could someone upload his .lua or the full code so i can copy paste it?

First of all thanks for a great addon.

I notived lately that I cannot cancel a buff by left clicking on the buff frame enabled underneath the unitframe. Can someone please how to make it work? Thanks.
