PitBull Unit Frames 4.0

Getting Started:

You can help translate PitBull for your language with the localization tool.

Classic

PitBull works with WoW Classic! Classic Era/Vanilla is supported in v4.3.x-vanilla releases. Cataclysm Classic is supported in v4.2.x releases (the same releases retail use).

Classic Era caveats:

Aura duration is not available from the API, so PitBull uses LibClassicDurations to show them. The duration can be inaccurate if it's affected by rank or talents.
Cast info is only available for your spells from the API. PitBull uses LibClassicCasterino to show cast bars for other units, but this can be inaccurate since there is a lot of guess-work involved.

Really don't understand the problem here is. If you're using someone elses config from a different locale it should work just fine. Group names will be in whatever locale they were in because the group names are user configurable. But otherwise everything should work.

Hey there, i've got a really silly problem. I cant use the profile option for some reason. Every time i copy someones settings (Pitbull4.lua and lua.bak)(addon compilations) and try to switch to their profile i still get the default one. I've had this problem for a long time and couldnt find any solution.
I've tried everything, different WOW reinstalls, tried downloading compilations with a relfux profile, still reflux switches me to needed profile but layout is default.

nvm found out why this appears. the problem is that in localized version (Ru) scheme names is in russian by default (and ENgb ver scheme names is in english).
So ive had to switch scheme manually and viola!

The double Visual Heal is because that Chinese players do not yet have 4.0. By including both VH modules they will not have errors. Only the one that is used by the players version of the game will load.

AS far as recompiling... I know the reason its split that way has to do with loading or not loading modules on demand.... but this is more Shefki's area of expertise.... when he's feeling a bit better I'm sure he'll check in and post. :)

EDIT: I asked the sickee who is hogging my Invidia Snuggie from the con(aka Shefki)... and he said if you recompile the issue you would have is that it would affect Loading on Demand that the modules use. What this would mean for your end users is that even things they do not use would load. For example, if you don't use DogTags and its compiled all in one directory... its still going to load DogTags. Or if your particular layout doesn't use Portraits... its still going to load the portraits module. etc, etc.

I'm working on updating taeoui mod pack and was wondering two things. 1) Why is there two visualheal modules in pitbull and what are the differences between them? 2) Can I recompile Pitbull so that all the modules are under the Pitbull directory, so that I can make the Interface directory cleaner?

@BlitzNetcafe: I replied to your post on curse. Can you please confirm that using those steps is still causing the error and what version of PB4 you are using when you get this? (version numbers are in the upper right of the PB window.

The current.zip contains a duplicate module
* PitPull4_VisualHeal (out of date)
* PitPull4_VisualHeal5 (not out of date)
Am I right in assuming that the "out of date" module wasn't supposed to be included in the .zip and hence should not be extracted to WoW\Interface\Addons?

Hey, I'm trying to get my portraits to show up, but nothing I do seems to work. I have them Enabled in the Modules area, is there something more I need to be doing? I miss them. :(

/pb Modules > Portraits enabled (turns the module on to make it available for use in layouts)

AND

Layout Editor > Indicators > Portrait (turns it on for a layout)

Any chance you can add the world marker/flare functionality to pitbull, or at least make it so we can still use it when pitbull is running. As it is "Pitbull has been blocked from an action only available to the blizzard UI" whenever you try and place a flare, even when you have the "hide raid frame" option unticked.

If the box is not checked then the Blizzard frames are not being hid by Pitbull. (ie "Enable" is enabling the hiding. Unchecked means its not enabled to hide the frames)

Is it possible you have another add on that is hiding those frames?

No, I used to use grid for raid and party frames but deleted it when I discovered Blizzard frames of amazing (deleted the grid saved variables as well). All I want to do is hide blizzard unit target tot and focus frames...everything else I want PB but the only option I have is to hide ALL Blizz frames or show them all.

OMG nvm I figured out what I was doing! Blonde moment! I see it now, idk why but it took disabling it and enabling it for all of the individual options to show up. AHMAGAD I'M SO HAPPY :D

I have the most recent version of PB and the only option I have when I go to Modules > Hide Blizzard Frames is one checkbox that says Enable. I am having the same issue too, I would like to use Blizzard Party and Raid frames but I want to use PB for my portrait, my target's, TOT, pet and focus. Please tell me there is a way to do this :<
