PitBull Unit Frames 4.0

Getting Started:

You can help translate PitBull for your language with the localization tool.

Classic

PitBull works with WoW Classic! Classic Era/Vanilla is supported in v4.3.x-vanilla releases. Cataclysm Classic is supported in v4.2.x releases (the same releases retail use).

Classic Era caveats:

Aura duration is not available from the API, so PitBull uses LibClassicDurations to show them. The duration can be inaccurate if it's affected by rank or talents.
Cast info is only available for your spells from the API. PitBull uses LibClassicCasterino to show cast bars for other units, but this can be inaccurate since there is a lot of guess-work involved.

Just turned off pb. Confirmed that it's probably PB4 related, as I was able to disable it just fine with blizzard's default buff display...

To add to what Slotheroo said.... essentially PB4's aura module was built around the ability to filter buff and debuff icons. Filtering AND removing by rightclicking isn't really possible. So the aura module that will be written will have other limitations on filtering in order to gain the right click to remove. It makes many people quite sad. :(

You should still be able to use the Blizzard Auras to right click remove. If you need to turn them back on go to /pb Modules > Hide Blizzard Frames and uncheck buffs/debuffs to get them to reappear.

You're either in a region without 4.0.x (e.g. China) or you're lying. EBB can't cancel buffs in 4.0.x either.

For raids you can do the same thing by creating 8 groups that are configured in this manner. Then just make your first group contain only members from Group #1 (uncheck all other raid groups in the filtering tab). Then you repeat this for your other 7 groups (or other 4 groups if you're only interested in configuring for 25 man raids).

I am not certain the issue you are having with party/raid formation
since its a combination of rows and columns for each.

The Mouseover frames from what I've heard from other people's
answers... was a bit of a buggy mess and at this time is not planned
to be implemented. You can certainly add to a ticket on wowace and
request it though.

Lastly.... I'm a pretty easy going person... but do you realize that
ckknight (the developer of PB) works for Curse? Your name you have chose, its fairly rude. :(

@ authors/developers: Please add the mouseover target & mouseover target's target units which were available in Pitbull 3. For raids, please allow for control of party formation which includes rows/row settings instead of only columns/column settings. Thanks for the great work. Pitbull is still the best UI out there!

For setting up a row in a party, try setting the "units per column" slider in the "unit formation" tab to 1. This should yield a row. Setting it to 2 should yield a 2x2 grid, etc.

Not sure if this is a Pitbull problem or a general patch issue, but for some reason, I can only inspect the first person I pick once I log in. After that, anyone else I try to inspect does not work. Nothing pops up, and there is no error message. Any ideas?

I believe that is actually a general patch issue. Its been replicated without the use of Pitbull and has been reported on the UI and macros forum.

I have another problem, I love PB4.0 but when i convert to raid blizzards original frames dissapears is this a setupthing or is it a known bug?

Check under Modules > Hide Blizzard Frames and if Raid is checked then uncheck it. :)

It seems pb4 has one bug that appeared later on on pb3. it doesn't hide blizz frames all the time. i only hide player, target, target's target and focus. from time to time they pop up. i go to the modules on cfg and disable and enable and they go away. but thats only temporary... what seems to do that?

It wasn't a PB3 bug or a PB4 bug. Some other addon you have is showing them. See the FAQ linked above for details.
