Getting Started:

You can help translate PitBull for your language with the localization tool.

Classic

PitBull works with WoW Classic! Classic Era/Vanilla is supported in v4.3.x-vanilla releases. Cataclysm Classic is supported in v4.2.x releases (the same releases retail use).

Classic Era caveats:

Aura duration is not available from the API, so PitBull uses LibClassicDurations to show them. The duration can be inaccurate if it's affected by rank or talents.
Cast info is only available for your spells from the API. PitBull uses LibClassicCasterino to show cast bars for other units, but this can be inaccurate since there is a lot of guess-work involved.

Thought I'd get around to giving this a go what with the patch 4.0.1 madness and X-Perl still not sorted...

LOVE it, very intuitive configuration, not nearly as complicated as i've heard people say, makes much more sense than x-perl.

Anyway, just adding a thanks for all your hard work in between the "halp" comments.

Help please! When I click on a player, mob, etc I cannot unclick to make the target's frame disappear. How do i fix this?

how do i modify groups separately...such as i would like to have Health, Mana and buffs and portrait on my player frame. On target i would like health, buffs, portrait and cast time. on my party and raid i would like health, power, portrait and buffs but names only no other txt.

You need to make new layouts when you want to see different layouts. Check the guide linked above on how to make different layouts.

Strange problem for me since 4.0.1 hit the servers.

Playing as my priest atm and whenever I am trying to cancel a buff (ie levitate) I keep getting "pitbull4 has been blocked from an action only available to the blizzard ui"

When i log out and back in it fixes the issue for a short time and then it starts all over again. Not using any buff frames atm since Satrina is still working on an update but any ideas how I can get rid of this issue till Satrinas is fixed?

I'm having an incredibly strange issue that I cannot figure out how to fix. I've setup my layouts how I want and everything looks great. I have the same profile being used on all of my characters. Now, for some strange reason, on one of my characters (Paladin), the text always defaults itself to "Friz Quadrata", even though with the same profile and layout its set to "Teen" on every other character. In fact, I don't even seen "Teen" as a text option at all in the dropdown (I'm also not seeing a couple others when on my Paladin either). I cannot narrow it down to a config setting, nor can I point to an addon causing a conflict.

It's obviously not a matter of life and death, simply a quality of life thing. It's just really frustrating to me that I cannot for the life of me figure out what s causing this.

Same issue here. When trying to click-off a buff, an error frame appears that reads: Pitbull4 has blocked this action.

Since the patch, for some reason a lot of my settings got reset with this addon. I now can't figure out how to unbuff myself by right clicking the icon by my name. I turn off the add on and I can do it fine with Blizzard unit frames. Please help.

Right Clicking to remove buffs became a protected function with patch 4.0.

Until a replacement aura module can be written to restore some of the functionality, you can use a /cancelaura NAME macro, or use the Blizzard buffs to right click.

Yes it makes many sad pandas and cabby patties out of those of us that <3'd that feature, but alas there were a few individuals that abused the mechanic that Blizzard felt the need to change it. :(

What other settings did you experience an issue with?

I had some fonts and the positioning of bars moved around a little. But I was able to all get it back to normal besides the unbuffing myself. Also, a fiend of mine has pitbull 4 and does not have this problem. Maybe he didn't update yet his, but I'm not sure why he is able to do it and I'm not.

You should be able to right click the Blizzard icons (upper right) to cancel the debuffs. But clicking on the small PB4 icons on the player frame does nothing.

There is hope that we may be able to rewrite an aura module that will restore some of the functionality. Unfortunately writing modules from scratch takes quite a bit of time so I can't give you any sort of ETA.

i just installed pitbull after a year and a half break from wow. after configuring most things, i realized that there's a "frame" on the middle of the screen that doesnt let me click thru it. i have no idea what it can be: the "frame" is invisible and even after unlocking everything, the "frame" remains there. ive turned off most modules but the problem persists. i have even enabled the click-thru option to no avail. being that i mostly use my mouse to turn the camera, i find this quite frustrating and have no idea where to turn (no pun intended) to fix this. can someone help me ? i can provide more information if necessary

Have you tested with just Pitbull 4 loaded to ensure that it is not a conflict with another add on?

I have not been able to replicate the issue.

i apologise for the lateness in my reply. i have just confirmed it: loaded WoW with just pitbull 4 and i managed to find that "blank spot" where if i click, i cant move my mouse. i have no idea what to say to help you replicate this issue im having. since the frame is invisible, sometimes i need a bit of time to "misclick" and find it..

Can you reproduce this and then use /framestack while your mouse is over this blank area.
Take a screenshot of the tooltip framestack shows and post it please.

Enable Color PvP by class for the Health Bar for the appropriate layouts.
