PitBull Unit Frames 4.0

Getting Started:

You can help translate PitBull for your language with the localization tool.

Classic

PitBull works with WoW Classic! Classic Era/Vanilla is supported in v4.3.x-vanilla releases. Cataclysm Classic is supported in v4.2.x releases (the same releases retail use).

Classic Era caveats:

Aura duration is not available from the API, so PitBull uses LibClassicDurations to show them. The duration can be inaccurate if it's affected by rank or talents.
Cast info is only available for your spells from the API. PitBull uses LibClassicCasterino to show cast bars for other units, but this can be inaccurate since there is a lot of guess-work involved.

You're the first person I've seen complain about losing settings. Probably some local issue to you, e.g. hard drive or file system issue.

I've also lost all my settings when I did the update just now - I'd refined a layout and restyled some frames, and when I logged in, all I had was the default layout I started from. I've made no changes to the Saved Variables files or settings between logging off Monday and logging in after updating today.

Great addon, keep up the great work. I was wondering if there is a way to display the new shards for warlocks. Incase you aren't familiar with the new system, locks have 3 shards that we can use and once depleted we can replenish them out of combat, there are some exceptions but this is the general rule. If the feature is there, how do I set it up. If not, could this be implemented...maybe something similar to combo points with 3 purple dots. Thanks again.

I'm having an issue with attempting to right-click to remove buffs. If I disable the Aura module and show the Blizzard frame, I can right-click. Any thoughts?

Canceling buffs is protected. We can't provide that feature to you with the current aura module. We'll eventually provide a more limited aura module in addition to the existing one that can. But you're going to have to give up things like the custom filtering and sizing your buffs/debuffs differently. For the time being use /cancelaura NameOfBuff

New user here. The configuration screen is pretty complex at first blush, but I've gotten used to it and I'm working through things. The default configuration is totally incorrect for my needs but almost everything seems configurable in the way I'm expecting.

It's looking good so far..

Great work on this addon, I really like it alot! On Pitbull 3 I had all buff/debuffs turned off on every frame but the Target of Target, where I kept debuffs on only. As a tank it is vital to see this for tank swapping, etc. I have played around for quite some time now trying to figure it out... is it possible to do this? Please help!

Yes its possible!

Make a new layout. On your new layout Enable debuffs. Apply that layout to your Target of Target Frame. Voila!

Yes. I am a sad panda too!

I know that there is some development hopes for making a module that will restore some of the functionality, but its not done yet. It will take some time to put it together.

(Hopefully sooner since I'm always making silly weapon buff flubs on my shaman! :X )

Right-click to dismiss buffs has become a protected function in 4.0 (Meaning that add ons can not click-dismiss buffs for you. You can write a cancelaura macro or use the Blizzard default buffs to right click.

lmfao, this post alone made my patch day. guess i'll get an addon to move blizz frames, turn off ptb auras, and move the blizz buff grp to an appropriate position...

Try turning it off, it's possible the animation system is screwy for some people. I have it on and it's fine here. Either that or you're misinterpreting the animation as a flash.

Also, I know this one is supposed to be simpler but I honestly cannot figure out how to get the power bar off my raid frames, JUST the raid frames :/

It sounds like you need to make a new layout for your raid frames.

Start with the one you have that's similar. Make a new layout (directions in the guide linked above) Go to Bars > Power and Uncheck "enable"

Go to your group and apply your new layout (now in power bar free formula!) to your raid group. :)
