Getting Started:
You can help translate PitBull for your language with the localization tool.
Classic
PitBull works with WoW Classic! Classic Era/Vanilla is supported in
v4.3.x-vanilla releases. Cataclysm Classic is supported in v4.2.x releases
(the same releases retail use).
Classic Era caveats:
- Aura duration is not available from the API, so PitBull uses LibClassicDurations to show them. The duration can be inaccurate if it's affected by rank or talents.
- Cast info is only available for your spells from the API. PitBull uses LibClassicCasterino to show cast bars for other units, but this can be inaccurate since there is a lot of guess-work involved.

Posted Oct 12, 2010There are several types of filters already in place you can set to "show" as options in the layout editor. You can also build a new "meta" filter using those options and show that special filter.
To get those filters to show up under the layout editor you need to change the "Display When" drop down box.

Posted Oct 11, 2010They worked for me when I tried them.
Make sure: /dump select(2,LibStub("LibDogTag-Unit-3.0")) Is giving you the number 90205 for the version of LibDogTag-Unit
And make sure the version given in the upper right of /pb is: 4.0.0-beta11-31-gb39172e
My guess would be that you installed one of them in your live install rather than the PTR.

Posted Oct 11, 2010It's really better if they aren't in one addon. They're setup so the other addons are loaded on demand. This means the libraries that each module needs are only pulled in if they are needed. If a module is disabled in PitBull4 in the game or from the addon screen it won't be loaded at all. If you have it disabled from the addon screen then PitBull4 can't load it until you enable it, if it is enabled at the addon screen but just disabled from the modules configuration in PitBull4 then it can be loaded any time you choose to turn it on.
If you disable PitBull4, none of the others will load because they are dependent upon the main PitBull4 addon to load.
So the only addon you need to turn on and off is the main PitBull4 one.

New question, is there a way to combine all the module 'addons' into the main PitBull 4 folder and possibly edit one of the load files to load the modules without them having to be 'separate' addons on the login screen themselves? I know this sounds silly but it's a pet-peeve of mine to have a gajillion addons on my list at the login screen, I just want to tick 'PitBull4' on, and thats it.

Posted Oct 10, 2010Probably have Lua errors turned off in your config, which you really shouldn't do on betas/ptrs.
Just install it like any other addon.

It's on the ptr. I don't get any errors. Do I need to handle the lib as a standalone addon? Or is there a folder where i've to copy it?

Posted Oct 10, 2010If you guys are talking about DogTags on beta or the ptr it would be helpful if you'd mention that. I just checked on live and it's working fine. If you want DogTags to work on the ptr/beta you need to install the latest alpha of LibDogTag-Unit: http://www.wowace.com/addons/libdogtag-unit-3-0/files/
There will be a tag of it before 4.0.x hits live and it will be included in the DogTags module for PitBull4 then.
P.S. It's also helpful if you report the errors that it's throwing when you reporting things like this.
