Getting Started:

You can help translate PitBull for your language with the localization tool.

Classic

PitBull works with WoW Classic! Classic Era/Vanilla is supported in v4.3.x-vanilla releases. Cataclysm Classic is supported in v4.2.x releases (the same releases retail use).

Classic Era caveats:

Aura duration is not available from the API, so PitBull uses LibClassicDurations to show them. The duration can be inaccurate if it's affected by rank or talents.
Cast info is only available for your spells from the API. PitBull uses LibClassicCasterino to show cast bars for other units, but this can be inaccurate since there is a lot of guess-work involved.

@luarookie, Sounds like this problem, which is probably a bug in Ace3 that we've never been able to track down: http://www.wowace.com/addons/pitbull4/tickets/438-dog-tag-text-edit-box-not-showing-text/

@ulrich_, Can't say that I've experienced this. Are you sure you've updated to beta10? beta9 would generate errors on events from the boss1-4 events, that were never generated by WoW until 3.3.5. That would cause the problems you're describing and Halion does have boss frames.

In the latest patch I've experiencing my FPS dropping down below 10 then WoW crashing.

Happend on a few fights in ICC, but does it all the time on Halion.

I noticed when I disabled Pitbull4 on the Halion fight I didn't have any FPS problems nor crashes.

I'm using Beta 10.

Anyone else experienced this?

I have been using PB for a few years now, so I am fairly familiar with the GUI, but I have managed to do something today I cant track down. I started a new toon and tried to start editing some of the LUA texts, but not only can I not edit them (when I click in the text box the cursor is unresponsive and it wont accept keyboard input) but all my presets (i.e. "LUA:Class") are in German ("LUA:Klasse). I disabled all other mods and still I have this problem and only with PB4 (latest version within a few days). Thanks in advance.

I'm having an issue w/ Pitbull 4.0; Whenever i load the game, switch zones, or reload ui the blizzard player, target, and party frames show back up. I have enabled the hide blizz frames module. in order to disappear them again i need to disable and re-enable this option every time i switch zones.

Pitbull is the only Frames Addon i'm currently running my bars are bartender4. I'm not sure if another addon is interfering but its annoying.

any ideas on how to fix this? if not is there a macro i can make to enable / disable the hide blizz frames module quickly instead of going through the whole process?

Hi, I'm trying to figure out how to make my combo points attach to the player frame, not the target frame. I can only figure out how to move the combo points around on the target frame. Is there a way to do this?

My target frame is at the top of the screen, my player frame is in the middle of the screen under my toon. I don't want to have to keep looking up at my target frame to see my combo points. But thanks for your opinion.

I'll use one of the other combo point mods that allow you to move them anywhere on your screen.

Combo points make no sense on any other frame than the target frame. The combo points are on the target not you.

I realy like this addon, but I would like to be able to sort my auras depending on time left, can any one help me? I'v googled, but cant find anything. And I'v tried editing the .lua but cant get it to work. plz help me

When the Bliz player/party/target interface is gone so is the portrait menu. Is this going to be integrated later?

Also, whenever I hearth port or relog the bliz UI comes back but the Modules tab still shows it hidden.

Right click menu works here. My guess would you have right click rebound in Clique. Or possibly some other addon is conflicting. The only thing that wouldn't be there is the Set Focus menu item, which can't be done due to design limitations of WoW.

Clique is an addon to rebind the clicks (with or without modifier keys) on unit frames to casting spells. If you're not getting the right click menu, some other addon is intercepting that click and preventing it from getting to PitBull4. Clique is the most common addon that people use for that.

Now I've got an interesting and purely cosmetical problem. Character portraits clip through - a lot. Basically every female human's, UD's and blood elf character gets her head cut in half as soon as she leans forward in the portrait (via animation). The human female one always has her head cut. Basically you can look inside the characters head, the facial textures are missing.

I just can't explain why this problem exists. I've been using Pitbull since version 1.0, so I'm not really new to unit frame addons. Thank you in advance.

Editing texts by way of lua is a pain for someone who doesn't know how to use it... dogtag was so much simpler. Bleh : /

Is there any easy way to make texts? Is there a good short way to learn lua enough to do my own pitbull texts? I could use either. Every text i had before moving to pitbull 4 was a custom one that isn't in the new lists.

Trying to do "current hp | percent hp", "current mana | percent mana", "name (druid form)" but not level, and "level class" but not race. Is there any good way to do those?
