I changed game resolutions from 1280x768 (Wide) to 1280x800 (Wide), and the problem no longer occurs. Changed back to 1280x768, and it's broken again.

The re-layout behavior got me thinking of some other things to try: I made the height of the config window the height of my game so it wouldn't have to scroll at all. I had just enough height to make the scrollbar go away.

When I changed the font size, the whole window resized (it shrank, needing a scrollbar.) If I changed the font size again, the EditBox disappeared. I could resize the window vertically with no effect, until it got tall enough that the main scrollbar disappeared again (making the code field wider.) Any width resize would also bring the text back.

I played around a bit with /script and GetMouseFocus(). I was able to find the EditBox associated with the lua text since it is visible once. I assigned this to a global variable and then "broke" the config dialog. The EditBox still exists, it is still parented to the ScrollFrame, the height is a reasonable 62.888... but the width is 0.

As Psycho notes, just changing the font size will break the layout, and in fact it causes the "main" scrollbar to jump back to the top. I don't remember it doing that on my computer that works.

I've asked several people if they are able to replicate this bug. They have not been able to. I would guess that it has to do with my computer, not the addon.

I just made a "fresh" install (without reinstalling WoW):
Downloaded the latest version (from 8 hours ago).
Made a back-up of my WTF folder, then deleted it.
Made a back-up of my Interface folders, then deleted it.
    Made new Interface\Addons folders.
    Installed latest version of PB4.

    -

    1. Log in to WoW.
    2. Open the config window using /pitbull
       • "Layout editor" should be selected by default.
       • Current layout is set to "Normal"
       • The "General" tab should also be selected by default.
    3. Click the "Texts" tab.
       • The Current text should be set to "Combat text"
    4. Click the dropdown arrow to change the Current text
    5. Select any text, such as "Lua:Cast"
    6. Scroll down to the bottom of the Texts tab.
       • I used my mousewheel for this.
       • The code in the text edit box should be visible.
    7. Change the font size.
       • Any interaction with the config window works, too.
    8. The vertical scrolling should reset to the top of the Texts tab page.
    9. Scroll back down to the bottom of the Texts tab.
       • The code in the edit box should now have disappeared.

I still can not find a way to reproduce this. The steps you're providing are insufficient. Can you provide steps from making a new profile. All the way up to the text not showing.

I was using other Ace3 addons at the time, they were providing Ace3.

When I made a new text, I had "Combat Text" selected. All default DogTag texts had been deleted.

I updated to the version from 7 hours ago, problem still persists. I turned off all other addons, no change.

This next bit also happened in the old version, but I didn't know how to reproduce it: I had Combat Text selected, then selected Lua:Druid Mana. I was able to see the Lua code for it. Upon hitting either Accept or any interaction with the config window, the editable text disappeared as usual.

I can't replicate this. Couple of questions. - Do you have a separate install of Ace3, and is it update to date? - Can you give more precise steps, what text is selected when you create the new text. - If you don't have a separate install of Ace3 what happens if you download the latest version and install a separate version of it standalone? Does this fix it?
