You can help translate PitBull for your language with the localization tool.

Classic

PitBull works with WoW Classic! Classic Era/Vanilla is supported in v4.3.x-vanilla releases. Cataclysm Classic is supported in v4.2.x releases (the same releases retail use).

Classic Era caveats:

Aura duration is not available from the API, so PitBull uses LibClassicDurations to show them. The duration can be inaccurate if it's affected by rank or talents.
Cast info is only available for your spells from the API. PitBull uses LibClassicCasterino to show cast bars for other units, but this can be inaccurate since there is a lot of guess-work involved.

Well as far as the quest, I really don't think PitBull4 can cause you to have problems picking up quest items. It's possible that when you logged out to turn PitBull4 off that it was fixed by that and it was just some sort of Blizzard bug.

I just logged in with PitBull4 disabled and I'm getting no minimap icon, not that I expected to get one. So it sounds like PItBull4 was still enabled, sounds like you disabled all the modules, but not the main addon.

We have no control of the addon panel at the character selection screen. However, I can assure you that if you disable the main PitBull4 addon that none of the others will load. They are all only loaded by the main PitBull4 addon and will not load if it is not present. I do this all the time to disable PitBull4 for testing purposes.

First off, very nice mod. I accidentally blew away my Pitbull 3 config in-game and it had taken SOOOoo long to sort through and customize that I was loathe to start over. Pitbull 4 had me up and running with a few tweaks, so THANK you!!

But found a wierd bug. I was doing the quest in Tanaris for the raptor mount, specifically http://www.wowhead.com/quest=13904 and wasn't able to pick up the eggs. No gear icon, no sparkling light over the egg. Since PB4 was the latest thing I'd installed (after checking that I wasn't still in a raid) I logged out, disabled all the Pitbull 4 items, logged back in and was able to pick up the eggs. Unsure so far if it's just this particular gathering quest or if other types of gathering are also affected. Maybe I have something selected in the config that's causing this?

Also, while PB4 was disabled at the Add-On screen I still had the mini-map icon. Seems like that should have disappeared as well if everything had been disabled. The icon brought up the config and threw no errors, but with all the modules disabled it was pretty useless.

Lastly, is there any way to have a core PB4 item in the Add-On checklist so if you uncheck it, it automatically disables all the dependency modules? Just laziness, but it would be nice so you don't have to uncheck the 20 or so PB modules individually.

If you want colors you need:
local r,g,b = DifficultyColor(unit)

Both of those only need the UNIT_LEVEL event turned on.

is there a way to set the health meter bar so that when your health goes low it goes red, or orange if half way etc.. cause i'm getting so confused all i see is green even when i am on 10% health, i always think i have full health, how do you change it?

I have noticed that with the range based opacity only works and will go as low as the minimum opacity set. The problem here is that with minimum opacity set at anything less than 100, all friendly targets and NPC's are at that lowest set minimum opacity regardless of their range. I want the range fading feature, BUT, I dont want friendly NPCs and targets to be faded. How do we overcome this?

Is there any way at all to remove the drop shadow on the name lua texts? In other words, I dont want a drop shadow on the name text.

Add this to your LuaText code someplace: font_string:SetShadowColor(0,0,0,0)
Top of the code is probably the easiest place to put it.

If you mean the auras on the player frame, make a separate layout for your player frame and then turn Auras off for that layout. See the guides linked above for help with how to do that.

If you mean showing auras that are cast by the player you could setup a filter that filters using the Filter type Caster and tests that the caster is player. Or you can use the Mine filter type if you want to avoid seeing your pets and/or vehicle auras as well.

Is there a plan to implement boss frames to use with pitbull ? I don't mean all raid bosses like raid addons, I just mean for blizzard boss frames like the gunship battle in ICC.

I have a big problem... When i'm trying to configure Pitbull and make raid frames i always get DCed... i press Config Mode and choose 25 Raid and i always get DCed. It wont make me configure my raid frames. Anyone know what's wrong?

Switch up to raid 25 by going to raid 5 then raid 10 and then raid 25. I still haven't tracked down what makes that so slow but it helps if the frames are already made.
