PitBull Unit Frames 4.0

Getting Started:

You can help translate PitBull for your language with the localization tool.

Classic

PitBull works with WoW Classic! Classic Era/Vanilla is supported in v4.3.x-vanilla releases. Cataclysm Classic is supported in v4.2.x releases (the same releases retail use).

Classic Era caveats:

Aura duration is not available from the API, so PitBull uses LibClassicDurations to show them. The duration can be inaccurate if it's affected by rank or talents.
Cast info is only available for your spells from the API. PitBull uses LibClassicCasterino to show cast bars for other units, but this can be inaccurate since there is a lot of guess-work involved.

Hey firstly i'd like to say i love PB, and that i'm sorry if this has already been covered (and how long this is) but i'm not sure if I've missed something...
Everyone seams to be saying that PB4 is more configurable then PB3 and i'm not sure how thats the case... As far as i can see all the bars now have to have the same layout... We can change the size and shape a little but thats it...
What i loved most about PB3 was that i could change any little thing i liked... i could have some frames with a 3d image, this text and that bar... while others had that text and a different bar... or just a health bar with there name...
This meant that i could have everything set up to show just the information i needed and liked for each individual frame... as an example my parties pets frame has to be like the rest with a 3d image, a health and power bar, there name, lvl, etc, etc... and this is just to much information... i'd rather just have a bar with the health and maybe a name...
Can little things like this still be changed?
Have i missed some config menu?
Can it only be done through rewriting the script somewhere or something?

Updating to this current version (from previous Pitbull 4, NOT 3) wiped all my profiles -- all 5 of them that I spent hours on.

This is a major issue and I recommend you warn people of it.

This is a localized problem to you. A variety of things can do this. We don't control the writing of these files, Blizzard's code does. In particular, running out of disk space on the drive will often wipe settings.

My only suggestion is to backup your settings files. For PitBull4 that means:
WTF/Account/USERNAME/SavedVariables/PitBull4.lua

Thank you for your sport, i got one more thing and I'm annoying u, I couldn't figure out the Lua text what i want is so simple if u could help me please do so,

the Class Lua text got 3 things

"Level Class Race" like "80 Isldor bloodelf"

what i want is

Lua for Level alone.

Lua for Class alone.

Lua for Race alone.

it's easily done in LibDogTag but in the raid memory usage reached 12 MB which is too much lua text is really nice please help me in those 3 lua text this is all i need

DogTag isn't preventing you from logging in. There have been reports of this with people claiming all sorts of different addons are doing this. More than likely it's a server problem or related to the patch causing your local cache to be cleared.

After today's patch, 3.3.3, I couldn't log on. I did some fiddling around and it turns out it's caused by the DogTag 3.0 module of Pitbull4. I disabled it, as it's the only way I could play the game. However, now I have no text on my unit frames (yes, I could use LUA, but I much prefer DogTag). I am using the newest version of PitBull4. Is there a way to fix this or should I wait for a new update?

The strangest thing though, is the fact that I can log on every single character of mine just fine, except my main. And they all have the same addons enabled and all. Do you know what's up with that and how I can fix it? Thanks again. :>

The problem is a Blizzard bug, it's happening to people randomly. There's nothing we can do about it.

Is there a way to make pitbull only show people's own self buffs?

e.g. I select myself (pally) and I can see Righteous Fury, devo aura, blessing.
I select a DK, and I can see his presence and Icy Talons (but not my buff on him).

I would imagine that this should be possible somehow but I can't seem to figure it out. Thanks for any help!

Not at this time. The map filter would need to be adjusted so it could map based on the units class not just the players. Feel free to open a ticket. Shouldn't be too hard to do.

Hi, love the new config menu but i have one problem, which i hope has not been mentioned before. on pitbull 3 i had 25man raid set up as:

Group 1 Group 3

Group 2 Group 4

Buttons Group 5

But now i can't do that which means group 3 ends up covering one of my bars or group 5 ends up sticking out almost in the middle of my screen

Is there anyway i can move the groups independantly?

Hello,

First of all, i would like to thank the Authors team for the Great work they are putting in this addon. However i download it the last release and i can't find the Portrait option in the layout editor although it's active from modules i should find it under the Bars potion or others in neither places the option isn't there at all, is it a bug from the addon or i'm doing some thing wrong ?
