Elkano's BuffBars

EBB provides groups of statusbar style indicators to show (de)buffs currently affecting your char or some other units (currently focus, pet and target). For the player, it can also show indicators for temporary enchants place on it's weapons.

Due to changes Blizzard made with WoW 4.x it's no longer possible to cancel buffs without the use of secure frames. Currently EBB limits canceling of buffs to out-of-fight since using SecureAuraHeader would have required a major code restructuring. This will be coming in a later version.

Version 2.x is a total recode based on the Ace2 framework which became necessary in order to support some of the longtime wanted and suggested features. It's now possible to show different groups of bars which can be configured in many ways. Each group can be assigned an individual look and filter settings. EBB can be configured via a dropdown menu which is accessible via chat (/ebb config), FuBar plugin or (for the group settings) by right clicking the groups anchor. After setting up a group, its anchor can be hidden by alt-left clicking a bar or the anchor itself in order to lock the group in place.

In order to get additional bar textures and fonts for EBB simply install SharedMedia which is available for download under http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/sharedmedia.aspx

You can just set a different name for the buff that will be shown instead of its real name.

Can anyone help me with how to set up a set of bars to track my debuffs (i.e. Rupture, and Deadly Poison, etc.) I've tried clicking debuffs and then clicking self cast buffs but it just doesn't show up. Anyone help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like it doesn't load or error early.
Check that you have "Display Lua Errors" enabled in the interface options (it's under Help), so that you see when errors happen.

Just don't load. Tried an earlier vesion to, no go. Tried with only EBB as addon (and Blizzards), no go. Really miss my bars. I have Display lua errors checked.

ok, that's strange...

I could come up with the generic GM idea:
delete your interface and WTF folder, reinstall and try again ;)

Lost the bars after the patch. Only got icons in upper right corner. Like to have my blue bars back on the left side, feel kind of naked without them...

Do you resize (changing width and height) or scale them? I guess the later case. Since unfortunately scaling also scales the anchor point, too.

Love the mod also, but every time i resize the client window all the bars move to the wrong position.

Love the mod, but since 3.2.0 came out none of the features in this work anymore. just like many the buffs do not countdown and once are expired do not go away. Plus the options seems to be buggy as well. wondering if the master Elkano had any ideas

You have lua script errors disabled, don't you?
Try enableing them in WoW's options and see if some errors are displayed or simply install BugGrabber + BugSack.

EBB does provide a bar for tracking, too. Thus it hides the default minimap button for tracking. This can be changed in EBB's options though.

I notice when i have EBB on i lose my mini-map tracking button (Repair/humanoids/etc).

I've turned offf the mini-map button for EBB and unless i disable the mod it doesn't come back...

Is it possible to configure EBB to show bars with a fixed maximum duration, so that all bars in a group deplete at the same rate. I.E. max time 20sec a buff of 50sec will have the bar full until it reaches 20sec then deplete at the same rate as the other bars?
