Elkano's BuffBars

Table of Contents

EBB provides groups of statusbar style indicators to show (de)buffs currently affecting your char or some other units (currently focus, pet and target). For the player, it can also show indicators for temporary enchants place on it's weapons.

Due to changes Blizzard made with WoW 4.x it's no longer possible to cancel buffs without the use of secure frames. Currently EBB limits canceling of buffs to out-of-fight since using SecureAuraHeader would have required a major code restructuring. This will be coming in a later version.

Version 2.x is a total recode based on the Ace2 framework which became necessary in order to support some of the longtime wanted and suggested features. It's now possible to show different groups of bars which can be configured in many ways. Each group can be assigned an individual look and filter settings. EBB can be configured via a dropdown menu which is accessible via chat (/ebb config), FuBar plugin or (for the group settings) by right clicking the groups anchor. After setting up a group, its anchor can be hidden by alt-left clicking a bar or the anchor itself in order to lock the group in place.

In order to get additional bar textures and fonts for EBB simply install SharedMedia which is available for download under http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/sharedmedia.aspx

heh, well the space dosn't look like much on a post, but in game it's really a large distance between the number and letter.

The border is most likely the debuff border though I wonder why the color seems to be wrong...
default format is what Blizzard provides, so blame them ^^

How do I make it show my own debuffs on the targets? When I whitelist Rupture or Deadly Poison, I see the other rogues in my raid debuffs as well.

not a bug with EBB.
EBB was just the first addon to load AceAddon-2.0/AceEvent-2.0.

I am getting this error with an alt. Blood Elf, Pally, he's at level 20. The error occurs upon log in, as soon as the loading screen disappears.

Great addon! I'm just missing one thing, the option to set a limit to the number of bars. I'd like to keep an eye on my target's debuffs, but targetting bosses with like 30 debuffs fills up half of my screen.

Please implement this function in the next release.

im having the same issue here- i updated it to the latest one and all the buff bars went away. try to open the options menu and nothing. its like it dosent exist.

im going to try to downgrade it to an earlier version.

I had the same problem and I removed the Ace3 library files from my interface/addons folder and re downloaded the files via wowace.com site. Worked like a charm... hope it works the same for everyone else.

Out of curiosity, how do you decide whether to change your add-on code or the code of a library you're leveraging as a dependency? I would have assumed you were a consumer of the library so the library would be treated as an unchangeable entity and you would modify your code. Am I misunderstanding the relationship between ElkBuffBars.lua and FuBarPlugin? If this isn't the right place to ask this question, please let me know and I'll take this to private messages or to another forum as needed.

The fxi would have rather been to change the 2.1 in the FuBarPlugin file back to 2.0 :/

Well, the latest commit should pack a fixed version of FBP again so things should be fine again :)

That's the old site, having been away for a while I don't know where to get files from the new one.
