PitBull Unit Frames 4.0
PitBull Unit Frames 4.0
Woof. Arf. Yip.
Getting Started:
You can help translate PitBull for your language with the localization tool.
Classic
PitBull works with WoW Classic! Classic Era/Vanilla is supported in
v4.3.x-vanilla
releases. Cataclysm Classic is supported in v4.2.x
releases
(the same releases retail use).
Classic Era caveats:
- Aura duration is not available from the API, so PitBull uses LibClassicDurations to show them. The duration can be inaccurate if it's affected by rank or talents.
- Cast info is only available for your spells from the API. PitBull uses LibClassicCasterino to show cast bars for other units, but this can be inaccurate since there is a lot of guess-work involved.

I can Confirm with Xandarous Target Frame is Disappearing in the Lastest Build, if the Target isnt already Selected
I was wondering about the option that is pitbull 3 to show your player frame in the party frames as well, if maybe it exists or there may be the possibility for it to be added in to pitbull 4 sometime, because to be honest, it makes it a lot easier as a healer to see my own health that way with my setup.
Target frame disappears occasionally when dealing with combat and stealth targets. Not sure how to duplicate it.
on the 3.1 ptr it frequently bugs out and doesn't create the bars correctly most of the time, especially during combat. backgrounds don't show up, there's no text, and the de/buffs are either permanently stuck or don't show up at all.
you may already know this but i wanted to make sure you were aware of it, keep up the great development!
Please, when you have time can you review the code for latency safezone found in ticket #23932 and consider it as an option for the implementation of the safezone.

Is there anyway to show % of health in frames, id hate that i cant see at what percentage the boss is at =P
Nice addon tho =)
Edit. Oh found it =P
Shefki, thanks and sorry. I had to do it once or twice when I first install 4.0. But it was mostly with the druid bar. Text would not show until I reloaded.
Edit: updated and druid mana bar works awesome, thanks!
Elyzium and Tetyl, see my comments on ticket 233 and see if you can answer the questions I pose. I can't replicate this but I'd love to fix the problem, but I'm going to need more info.
wombalicious,
Not implemented yet. I was waiting on something from ckknight to do it. I just haven't gotten back to it after he put it in for me.
esullivan,
What things do you have to do that for, it's helpful to know so I can fix the bugs causing that.
DruidManaBar issues fixed.
For future reference please open a ticket for each issue after you've looked to see if there isn't already a report of this.
Re: ElyziuM
That's the same bug I noticed. I wrote up a ticket describing the situation that most often led my target frame disappearing. Number 233. Same thing with you? I wish it was reproducible more often, I worry it will be around for awhile.
i have perhaps a stupid question.. and its related to 3.0 and 4.0... how do you use the main tank units? Thanks!
I can't seem to find a way to move and/or increase the size of target debuff duration text. Is there an option somewhere that i can't find?
I've got a problem. I was looking for several minutes for an "hide in raid" option. But I didn't see anything about it. Can someone explain me how do i configure hide and show? do i need an plugin?
Not complaining just passing on. When I am doing some figs, I have to often /reloadui for the changed to show. Not sure if this is known, just letting you know.
I also noticed that the druid mana bar goes away when at 100% mana, is this intentional? Also the text that's assigned doesn't show up.
jwwpua,
Turn off Banzai.
Is it possible to disable the red health when recently attacked? I just want it to fade from green to red as the health gets lower, and not turn red any time someone is hit.
Thanks!
I've said this before but target of target frames are CPU intensive. This is true even with the Blizzard frames, you just can't profile it because they're implemented in the FrameXML and don't show as an addon. This is especially true if you're targeting yourself. Since 3.0 frames referencing yourself have to do constant updates to deal with the smooth health/power gains.
I'm sure you'll come back and say "But PitBull3 doesn't use as much." The answer to that is we're still updating a lot of things every frame in PitBull4. We haven't made an attempt to throttle much of anything. For one thing it's easier to write the code without the throttling and go back and add it later than it is to mess with it to start. Plus if we can get away with more updates without a huge performance issue, it's not really a negative.
I realize this is important to a lot of you. It's just not something that we've spent time on. Performance tuning will be done, but not until we're reasonably feature complete.
I've disabled anything that I don't feel is necessary. So basically I have the functionality of the built-in wow frames, just with a different skin.
