PitBull Unit Frames 4.0
PitBull Unit Frames 4.0
Woof. Arf. Yip.
Getting Started:
You can help translate PitBull for your language with the localization tool.
Classic
PitBull works with WoW Classic! Classic Era/Vanilla is supported in
v4.3.x-vanilla
releases. Cataclysm Classic is supported in v4.2.x
releases
(the same releases retail use).
Classic Era caveats:
- Aura duration is not available from the API, so PitBull uses LibClassicDurations to show them. The duration can be inaccurate if it's affected by rank or talents.
- Cast info is only available for your spells from the API. PitBull uses LibClassicCasterino to show cast bars for other units, but this can be inaccurate since there is a lot of guess-work involved.

Thanks for that. I went and checked under units and it only gives me one option at a time. Player was selected. I turned that off and it seems to have fixed the problem. Appreciate the quick response for sure!
I did have one other quick add-on question i'm having a hard time finding out about. There's a tanking add on that creates kind of largish circles around the tank where the colors indicate threat levels. I can't seem to find that one. Do you know what it's called?
Here is the code.
-- because users are too lazy to disable feature in config file
-- adding an auto disable if some mods are loaded
if (IsAddOnLoaded("Stuf") or IsAddOnLoaded("PitBull4") or IsAddOnLoaded("ShadowedUnitFrames") or IsAddOnLoaded("ag_UnitFrames")) then
TukuiCF["unitframes"].enable = false
TukuiCF["raidframes"].enable = false
end
So nothing I can do anything about.
Initially, I can't seem to figure out why my unit frames are overlapping my blizzard menus - i.e. when I bring up my guild window, or friends list, and so forth. I'd really like to use PitBull but this almost renders it unmanageable for myself.
Secondly, is their any way to configure it so I'm only using the unit frames? I have a UI mod with a raid frame set up I really have become accustomed to, but PitBull seems to overwrite it completely.
Thanks in advanced.
By default we don't provide raid frames unless you configure them. We don't touch any other mods functionality. So I'm not really sure what you mean by that PitBull4 is overwriting it completely.
I try this with multiple Unit Frames. My current ui is the Elv's modified TukUI. X-perl among other unit frame addons don't affect my raid frames that's provided by TukUI, but if I load up PitBull in place of other unit frames, my raid frames are inaccessible. I'll keep tinkering with it. Thanks for any additional info.
@Garmage, Glad you got it figured out. For what it's worth I prefer people abbreviate my name as Shef not She, for obvious reasons.
@thankyouoakland, Sounds to me like you have Target's target target and Pet's target target turned on. Go into Units, select them and turn them off if you don't want them. This is why we have solo config mode so you can set all this stuff up.
@She, OGM! I'm such an idiot, I seen that so many times and never even actually read that it was for sizing, very sorry for being a nub[= Lol.
I've just installed Pit Bull and I really like it. Just one problem. It's duplicating my toon's frame. I show up normally when nothing's going on, but as soon as I go into combat, it duplicates me. It also duplicates the monster's frame as well. And when I jump on a mount at the Argent Tournament, it duplicates that too. So....what do I do now?
@meezyfuh, Give the alpha build a spin, should be fixed.
@Garmage, there's an option to change the size of the auras somewhere under Layout editor, Aura. I don't have the config screen right in front of me so I can't say what exactly it is called or which tab it is under. But it's there.
Hey Shef and Trill, I'm new to this whole Pitbull UF and all and loving it thus far except for how small the buffs/debuffs are. Is there anyway to make them bigger? If so that would be awesome and I will never go back to X-Perl, unless of course something goes wrong with this one!! Thanks, Garm
Just one question concerning the texts displayed inside the frames:
Is there a way to get the Stats (for example the HP) of the player inside of the let's say target frame?
With maxHP(unit) i get the Maximum HP of the current unit... but maxHP(player) doesn't work :( how do i make this work?^^
I hope you understand what i mean, because I'm not very good in explaining technical things in english ^.^
Since upgrading to this latest release of PB, the Blizz raid frames have started showing up in BGs. Before I didn't even know of their existence - was PB hiding them before? If so, how can I get PB to hide them once again? Obv my PB raid frames are far superior to the Blizz ones!
TY for the best addon ever!
So we did address this in the FAQ:
How do I turn the default Raid/Party frames on/off?
Go to Modules > Hide Blizzard Frames and uncheck or check the box next to the raid/party frames to turn on and off the Blizzard frames and Raid manager. If you would like to use the Blizzard raid manager with PB4 frames, this should be set so that they are not hidden here, and use the "Hide" button on the Raid Manager window.
