PitBull Unit Frames 4.0
PitBull Unit Frames 4.0
Woof. Arf. Yip.
Getting Started:
You can help translate PitBull for your language with the localization tool.
Classic
PitBull works with WoW Classic! Classic Era/Vanilla is supported in
v4.3.x-vanilla
releases. Cataclysm Classic is supported in v4.2.x
releases
(the same releases retail use).
Classic Era caveats:
- Aura duration is not available from the API, so PitBull uses LibClassicDurations to show them. The duration can be inaccurate if it's affected by rank or talents.
- Cast info is only available for your spells from the API. PitBull uses LibClassicCasterino to show cast bars for other units, but this can be inaccurate since there is a lot of guess-work involved.

Is it able to Disable Focus but making available to use blizzard focus frame?????
VisualHeal is coming. Lifebloombar was done by someone else and wasn't typically part of the PitBull addon itself. I'd imagine they'll probably update or rewrite it for this.
As far as the Aura filters. You can't find it because it's not done yet.
ok i have one last question. i was looking in the text files of this addon and i can't find how to disable certain buffs that are cast by my class.
I did this in the last pitbull 3 by setting it up so i had all unit frames to only show buffs that are cast by myself, except for the "Target" unit frame which was set to show all buffs. I then changed a text file in pitbull_aura. "Filter.lua"
elseif playerClass == 'DRUID' then canDispel = { ["Curse"] = true, ["Poison"] = true, } selfBuffs = { } friendBuffs = { [2893] = true, -- Abolish Poison [29166] = true, -- Innervate [33763] = true, -- Lifebloom [8936] = true, -- Regrowth [774] = true, -- Rejuvenation [740] = true, -- Tranquility [48496] = self.WoTLK or nil, -- Living Seed [48438] = self.WoTLK or nil, -- Wild Growth } This is how it looks now, before it included moonkin aura, tree aura, Motw, thorns etc.
I did this so i only see my hots on the unit frames, not the buffs. It's very hard to heal as resto druid if i see so many buffs everywhere, i have some problems with pitbull 3 so i'd like to do the same thing i have done there in this Pitbull 4 version. Can you please maybe show me how to change this in the text files?
thanks.
Hi are you making lifebloombar and visual heal for this? I can't do without lifebloombar :P
any way to center the portrait???
Because we haven't had a chance to figure out how to fix the problem. 3.0.8 supposedly allows us to, but we need to mess around with the new code and figure out how it works.
Edit: Looks like 3.0.8 doesn't let us do this actually. So it's going to stay broken. Not much we can do about this. Waiting on Blizzard to provide us a way to make this work.
I have an issue still not being able to set focus. Get the message that the Blizzard UI did not allow it to do something. All I can do is to disable or ignore. I know it is only this mod now, as when I disable it, I can set the focus.
I just found this version and gave it a whirl, as a long time fan of pitbull i have to say i love the changes to configuration. Excellent improvement to an already top notch mod.
Thanks you very much for all your greats jobs Ckknight, I don't forget Vangual and Shefki of course.
Long life of Pitbull 4
In the last version I downloaded you had merged the party and raid frames or some such.
I use Grid instead, so I'd very much like to be able to have my party frames hide when I enter a raid, except if I am in the arena. (In which case I have modified Grid to hide)
Is this something you could do? (If you don't have already. I don't have time to play WoW right now. My version is about... 3-4 days old I think)
Great addon so far btw.
Arrusy, WoW doesn't support Dutch.
theiaind, yea, you'll be able to eventually.
I like a dutch translation of this project :) i can help Translate(im dutch :)
It's coming along very nice, but i currently have a layout that i can't seem to recreate in Pitbull 4, i like to have the Portrait as a bar in the centre but cropped slightly so it's not a square..
see attached link for my current style: http://homepage.mac.com/theiaind/.Pub.../ScreenShot_011909_191649.jpeg
But the options don't allow me to manipulate the portrait like they do in Pitbull 3 to get the same look
I have noticed you have added an option to add Portrait as a bar but i can only Left/Right align it and not centre it.
Is there any plans to allow more customization to the portrait part?
Wow... just wow! I've been a fan of Pitbull for a long time, but for various reasons switched in the last couple of weeks... I noticed PB4 here and thought, "It sounds alpha-quality, but I can't resist", so I tried it out last night and I've switched to it full-time now.
It's been refactored very logically, and I love the options! The kind of control that I really like. I've gotten an occasional error message and had to logout once because it got stuck in configure mode, but I love it.
As far as raid frames, if I'm in a raid, I'm going to use Grid, so I'm one of the lucky ones that PB4 is nearly feature-complete for. I really like having buffs under the frame and debuffs above (more visible). I really like the option to have bars (health, mana, etc) go vertical, but fitting the text in then become very difficult...
Keep up the good work!
One bug to report is that if I try to set power (mana) text to simple (I think, or was it short or something like that), it gets a dogtags error that it is using a non-existent tag.
I'm not going to give any timelines for features, minicooepr42, you're just going to have to wait. I have other priorities in life than PitBull4. This is mostly something I do on the weekends or at night if I'm in the mood. That makes it very hard to draw out timelines.
Really great mod any idea how long raid units are gonna be?
I welcome the removal of Rock.
I'm really liking v4. Especially the new layout editor, and the X/Y positioning for the frames themselves.
Ooooh, and the saved vars are much cleaner, too!
