Posted Jan 20, 2009In the last version I downloaded you had merged the party and raid frames or some such.
I use Grid instead, so I'd very much like to be able to have my party frames hide when I enter a raid, except if I am in the arena. (In which case I have modified Grid to hide)
Is this something you could do? (If you don't have already. I don't have time to play WoW right now. My version is about... 3-4 days old I think)
Great addon so far btw.

Posted Jan 19, 2009It's coming along very nice, but i currently have a layout that i can't seem to recreate in Pitbull 4, i like to have the Portrait as a bar in the centre but cropped slightly so it's not a square..
see attached link for my current style: http://homepage.mac.com/theiaind/.Pub.../ScreenShot_011909_191649.jpeg
But the options don't allow me to manipulate the portrait like they do in Pitbull 3 to get the same look
I have noticed you have added an option to add Portrait as a bar but i can only Left/Right align it and not centre it.
Is there any plans to allow more customization to the portrait part?

Posted Jan 18, 2009Wow... just wow! I've been a fan of Pitbull for a long time, but for various reasons switched in the last couple of weeks... I noticed PB4 here and thought, "It sounds alpha-quality, but I can't resist", so I tried it out last night and I've switched to it full-time now.
It's been refactored very logically, and I love the options! The kind of control that I really like. I've gotten an occasional error message and had to logout once because it got stuck in configure mode, but I love it.
As far as raid frames, if I'm in a raid, I'm going to use Grid, so I'm one of the lucky ones that PB4 is nearly feature-complete for. I really like having buffs under the frame and debuffs above (more visible). I really like the option to have bars (health, mana, etc) go vertical, but fitting the text in then become very difficult...
Keep up the good work!
One bug to report is that if I try to set power (mana) text to simple (I think, or was it short or something like that), it gets a dogtags error that it is using a non-existent tag.

Posted Jan 17, 2009I'm not going to give any timelines for features, minicooepr42, you're just going to have to wait. I have other priorities in life than PitBull4. This is mostly something I do on the weekends or at night if I'm in the mood. That makes it very hard to draw out timelines.

Posted Jan 17, 2009I welcome the removal of Rock.
I'm really liking v4. Especially the new layout editor, and the X/Y positioning for the frames themselves.
Ooooh, and the saved vars are much cleaner, too!

Posted Jan 16, 2009So far Pitbull 4 is much easier to configure and it's usable as is(Unless you raid, no raid frames, "yet"). Back in early August, before quitting World of Warcraft for Warhammer, I redid my UI and it took me almost two weeks to get Pitbull set up exactly how I wanted it. I recently started playing WoW again as of two days ago and I set up my unit frames exactly the way I had them before in less than 3 hours! Talk about an improvement! Keep up the good work and I'm looking forward to a completed version of Pitbull 4.0.

Posted Jan 14, 2009bossmansmith, when it's done. It'll be a lot more complex (though probably less complicated) than PitBull 3.0, since I want to provide a lot more control, so I'm still fleshing out ideas.

Posted Jan 12, 2009Amazing!! I love the changes from PB3. Much easier to configure. Can't wait for raid frames
Couple of things.. my rune icons on my DK are not moveable - I like my player icon in the lower/centre part of my UI, the Rune CD icons seem stuck at the blizzard UI location.

Posted Jan 12, 2009Still some stuff missing:
Make an option for FrameStrata, PitBull obscures Blizzard's DK rune bar, maybe put PB one level down?
Be able to remove non-mana/energy bar at Target (NPCs for example.)
Make padding/spacing smaller between portrait and the rest.
Portrait still suffers from that some NPCs are shown fullbody. Add a customizable list so one can edit which NPCs need a fullBody setting in order to show correctly.
Colors! I miss the ability to change the color of the mana bar.

Posted Jan 12, 2009You can do settings for individual frames. You just have to make a layout for that frame and apply it to the frame. Go into layout editor. Next to the drop down there is a text edit box. Type a name for a new layout and click the button that appears next to edit box to make the layout. Set the settings in your layout that you want for whatever frame.
Now go down to the Units section. On the frame you want select the layout you just made.
The point of this is you can have as many frames sharing a config as you want or as few.
There are a lot of things that aren't implemented yet. It's still not even a beta. Raid Frames, Visual Heal, Filtering of Auras, etc etc etc...

Posted Jan 29, 2009PB4 is not meant to provide less configurability (once it's feature-complete), you can make separate individual settings for every single unit still if you so chose. (But chances are that you can reuse at least some of the units layouts with the modifiers.)
