PitBull Unit Frames 4.0
PitBull Unit Frames 4.0
Woof. Arf. Yip.
Getting Started:
You can help translate PitBull for your language with the localization tool.
Classic
PitBull works with WoW Classic! Classic Era/Vanilla is supported in
v4.3.x-vanilla
releases. Cataclysm Classic is supported in v4.2.x
releases
(the same releases retail use).
Classic Era caveats:
- Aura duration is not available from the API, so PitBull uses LibClassicDurations to show them. The duration can be inaccurate if it's affected by rank or talents.
- Cast info is only available for your spells from the API. PitBull uses LibClassicCasterino to show cast bars for other units, but this can be inaccurate since there is a lot of guess-work involved.

They don't show up at first, but after a few seconds, they pop up. I've tried enabling/disabling 'Hide Blizzard Frames' but they just keep coming up.
Any ideas?

@Shefki, I've noticed people appearing as their own pets in Drak'Tharon Keep and Gundrak. The vehicle swap bug I've noticed was in Oculus, both times I saw it. People are constantly getting on and off dragons throughout the dungeon.
On an unrelated note, I have my party frames set to show a 2D portrait, and revert to a blank space if the portrait can't be shown. Sometimes, I believe when they die, and walk back, their portrait stays blank even when they're in range.
@meezyfuh, Ok I didn't realize that that's what you were saying. We have people that come around and are confused by the swap in and of itself. Is there any particular place where it misbehaves or that you've noticed it the most? Our swap detection code is probably a bit wonky and Blizzard probably changed things a bit. I haven't noticed any problems but that doesn't mean there aren't any issues.
@H0PE, Can you post your config file for me someplace, easiest way is to probably just open a ticket and attach it there. Please specify what profile you're using as well. I'll look into it.
Shefki,
UPDATE: Also tried to disable pitbull. On normal party pet frame, I was able to clique click (new term lol) and heal the pet.
I just reallized that I was able to heal my friend's pet in party with my druid! However the same thing, simple party, and pet near me, with my PALADIN I'm not able to heal them!
Now I'm checking all my healer classes: Paladin, Shaman Doesn't work! Druid, Priest Working!
I just log in, invite my friend, and Shift+mouse click with one of the class's basic spell bind to pet frame. And some of them working, some of the class spells are not!
Everything is the same all profiles I use the same! I mean all kind of settings everything, the healing spells are on shift + left mouse, middle mouse, right mouse, ctrl + lmouse, etc...
And the weird thing is that no error messages, like I'm not doing anything!
I dont exclude anything, everything is fine there, I left everything on default and that is everything allowed for clique.
@Shefki, They aren't consistent. With regards to the pets issue, sometimes people show up as their own pets. A "/reload ui" fixes it.
As far as the vehicles issue, it appears to randomly sometime choose the vehicle as the owner, and vice-versa. I just checked and in every one of my groups the "Swap" option is enabled, as I never bothered to change it from the default. Also, party members all use the same layout, and sometimes I will see two party members like
[Party member]
[Dragon/Vehicle]
and others like
[Dragon/Vehicle]
[Party member]
I guess what I'm saying is it's not consistent, which is why I thought it was some kind of bug, as opposed to something related to the "Swap with vehicle/owner".
As usual I'm sure I can provide a screenshot if I'm not explaining coherently.
@mezzyfuh, That's intended. Heck it's even how Blizzard's UI works. There is a Swap with vehicle or Swap with owner checkbox on your Groups or Units config that you can use to turn that off.
@H0PE, I really can't reproduce this issue. Try the following: /clique, Options, Frame blacklist. Check to see if PitBull4_Groups_Name Of Your Pet GroupUnitButton1 exists. There should be additional ones 1-40 for them, only the ones that have been needed will exist. You can force all of them to show up using PitBull4's config mode. If any of these frames are checked then Clique has them blacklisted and that's why it isn't working.
I even went to the bother of downloading the packaged copy of PitBull4 and installing a fresh copy of Clique from the website by hand. I tested this by getting in a party with my Girlfriend's Hunter and healing her pet. I tried this with a variety of options. I know that it works when in a raid because I remember healing pets in raid the other night.
If what I suggested above doesn't work, post your Clique and PitBull4 config files and I'll take a look. But I'm pretty sure you've blacklisted the frames somehow.
My display is set up similar to the default Blizzard party frames:
[Player]
[Pet]
Sometimes people show up as their own pets. IE:
[Player]
[Player]
Sometimes people and their vehicles (dragons in Oculus, jousting horse)
[Vehicle]
[Player]
show up the reverse
[Player]
[Vehicle]
Dear Shefki,
pitbull: 4.0b17 clique v4 1.2.11 updating through curse client, all my addons.
Ok totally reset everything. Created basic frames I cant heal the pets in party or raid. I moved the frames around, tried to make sure no other addons around, or layers couldnt block the pet frames. Nothing. This pisses me off now very frustrating bug. :(
Ok no, totally deleted the addon, reinstalled it, both clique and pb4. The pet frame is totally not reacting to click, wth is going on? I can target them but clique healing is not working on them. Argh!
The guide linked above will explain how to make additional layouts.
@H0PE, Are you sure your copy of PitBull4 is up to date? I can't replicate this problem.
@Shefki AHA! i didn't have omnicc, as it turns out the Lui interface has a built in cooldown timer that was attaching to the pitbull aruraframe, so basically it's an lui bug...
thanks!
Hi Shefki,
Talked with Cladhaire about my issue and he told me to contact you about the problem.
Problem: PB Party (raid) pets frame not reacting to clique's hovercasting.
Tried to recreate all layouts and frames from scratch. Deleted everything, thought I screwed up something. Created party layout and then copied the whole stuff over to party pets (layout and the group settings).
Party frame, target, everything else reacting to my clicks with clique addon except party pets and raid pets.
Thanks for looking into the issue, I could try to get more info if I missed anything. H0PE
thank you
thanks you very much
How do I turn the default Raid/Party frames on/off?
Go to Modules > Hide Blizzard Frames and uncheck or check the box next to the raid/party frames to turn on and off the Blizzard frames and Raid manager. If you would like to use the Blizzard raid manager with PB4 frames, this should be set so that they are not hidden here, and use the "Hide" button on the Raid Manager window.
