PitBull Unit Frames 4.0

Getting Started:

You can help translate PitBull for your language with the localization tool.

Classic

PitBull works with WoW Classic! Classic Era/Vanilla is supported in v4.3.x-vanilla releases. Cataclysm Classic is supported in v4.2.x releases (the same releases retail use).

Classic Era caveats:

Aura duration is not available from the API, so PitBull uses LibClassicDurations to show them. The duration can be inaccurate if it's affected by rank or talents.
Cast info is only available for your spells from the API. PitBull uses LibClassicCasterino to show cast bars for other units, but this can be inaccurate since there is a lot of guess-work involved.

im a big fan of 3d portraits of my characters, and even my party

im new to pitbull and Ive heard great things, but when i click enable on the modules>portrait>enable i seem to be missing my characters 3d portrait? Any help here, thanks in advance :)

I just got this Unit frame addon and love it, I have it setup with 3D full avatar portraits even on party, looks pretty nice. My question is, did I miss the ability to turn off the default Blizzard Auras? Or will I need to get an addon that disables them?

You can turn off Blizzard Auras by going to /pb Modules > Hide Blizzard Frames and check buff/debuffs

Sorry, I think the upper-right is exactly what tscad was talking about. I have my default Blizzard buffs in the top-right corner near the compass... but when I right-click them, I get the following error:

Pitbull4_HideBlizzard has been blocked from an action only available to the Blizzard UI.

....?

To all the authors: Thanks for your continued support and great work. I have been using pb3/pb4 for years now. I can't recommend it enough to everyone out there.

I have noticed a couple issues with the latest release. I'm not sure if it's because of omnicc or pb4. For one, the buffs are showing up above my player frame as well as in the top right hand corner. I don't want the ones in the top right.
Second, the buffs cannot be right clicked to remove them. I have made sure that click through is not enabled, but I still can't get rid of buffs in the event that I would need to.

Removing buffs by right clicking became a protected function in 4.0 (Blizzard change) So until a new aura module can be written, you will not be able to right click them off. (You can still use the Blizzard ones in the upper right or a cancelaura macro)

Now... knowing that if you still want to turn the Blizzard ones off, go to /pb>Modules> Hide Blizzard Frames and make sure Buffs/Debuffs is checked.

When setting filtering it would work like so:

<5 people = 5 man raid filter
>5 people up to 10 people = 10 man filter
>10 people up to 15 people = 15 man filter
>15 people up to 20 people = 20 man filter
>20 people up to 25 people = 25 man filter
>25 people up to 40 people = 40 man filter

I tried moving people around in the way you suggested. I even just joined a 10 man Ulduar raid which is full and in progress. I am the 11th man resting in Dalaran. Still no raid frames popping up.

Is it wise to check Show When In... 5 man raid for my 10 man raid group to make sure something shows up when 1st invites go out? (if I ever get any raid frame to appear)

Excellent mod. I want to thank Trillianne for all the work you've done on the guides.

Xperl+Grid convert here. I spent a good amount of time setting up raid frames for 10 man, 25 man, and 40 man raids using new layouts for each one as I wanted specific sizes and features to show for each. Your wowace guide and faq helped immensely.

However, I cannot get raid frames to show up for any raid size. I filtered each layout for the corresponding raid size. Made sure hiding blizzard frames was checked. Also turned off all mods except for Pitbull. Still no raid frames showing. This was testing using only 1 other person to join party and convert to raid.

Am I missing something so obvious? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your kind words!

I'm assuming you made a raid group(or 3 one for each size) since you mentioned the guides.

For your test are both of you in the same party (party 1)? if so move one person into another party group(party 2 for example). That should make your raid frames show up. (If you are both in the same party it considers it to be a "Raid 5" size.)

Please let me know if that doesn't work.
