You can help translate PitBull for your language with the localization tool.
Classic
PitBull works with WoW Classic! Classic Era/Vanilla is supported in
v4.3.x-vanilla releases. Cataclysm Classic is supported in v4.2.x releases
(the same releases retail use).
Classic Era caveats:
- Aura duration is not available from the API, so PitBull uses LibClassicDurations to show them. The duration can be inaccurate if it's affected by rank or talents.
- Cast info is only available for your spells from the API. PitBull uses LibClassicCasterino to show cast bars for other units, but this can be inaccurate since there is a lot of guess-work involved.

Posted Feb 17, 2009cheers for the info. i did send the error message along to blizzard when it happened, so, hopefully they'll be able to fix it on their end. just wondering, then, if maybe deleting the pitbull 4 lua from my wtf folder and starting fresh might work. what do you think?

Posted Feb 17, 2009There's no eta. Ckknight has been busy on other things. This is something that we all work on in our spare time. Some weeks we may find lots of time to work on it and lots of progress will happen. Other weeks almost nothing will happen.

Posted Feb 17, 2009However, it's much easier to set things up in 4.0. I literally spent hours getting 3 to where I wanted it to be but 4 I got to a nearly identical set-up in about 15 minutes.
I've had to go back to 3 until 4 gets raid frames in... can't wait though. :) I've already told my guild mates about the new easy setup and a lot of them are eager to try it out. They mostly only use x-perl now because 3 is so daunting if you don't have the time to spend to figure out the setup.
My Gm even tossed ClassTimers because he can set the new Auras module to do the same thing. :)

Posted Feb 16, 2009Yup the ticket you posted was a WoW crash. This is a Blizzard bug. Seems that sometimes when a lot of frames get created it crashes the WoW client. Really nothing we can do about it. Send the bug report to Blizzard.

Posted Feb 16, 2009hi there. thanks again for getting back. i wasn't in combat when i tried to do it, just hanging out in the air field in BT. though, as i'd said earlier, i had tried once while on a gryphon from EPL to IF (i guess you thought i meant "in a fight" as opposed to "in flight"). i tried it several different times with the same result.

Posted Feb 16, 2009adaroundtown, That's the right dropdown. You can't use config mode in combat. We can't show or hide frames during combat ourselves since they are secure frames and are locked down. So that's why it didn't work.

Posted Feb 16, 2009thanks for the quick reply. are you talking about the dropdown which offers solo, party, etc. options? tried switching to party and was booted. i was in flight when i did so, so this might have been a factor. this happened twice though, and can't remember whether i was in flight the first time it happened. sorry, i'm lame and didn't think to copy the error for you.

Posted Feb 16, 2009another thing i'm curious if i missed or not: i'd like to optimize my group/raid/etc. layouts, but do i need to actually be in a group to do so? likewise pets and targets. is there an option to show dummy frames for set up?

Posted Feb 16, 2009This is much nicer than PitBull 3. The configuration is much better designed. One thing I need still is "hide party frames in raid" as an option. It would also be nice to be able to configure CENTER_WIDTH_POINTS in the UI
I like to have a tiny vertical xp bar to the right of my player frame.-

Still waiting for Icons on cast bars, and an option to hide the party frames (all of them) when joining a raid. Having to do that manually is very annoying.
These 2 features are all I need and I'll be "finished"
