SharedMediaAdditionalFonts
Inserts more than 40 additional fonts into LibSharedMedia's storage.
LibSharedMedia is used in an estimated ~1,250+ addons and downloaded over 100 million times.
LibSharedMedia is used as a library in other addons to add resources such as fonts, sounds, images, … By installing SharedMediaAdditionalFonts, you add fonts to the list of fonts provided by LibSharedMedia to these addons. If your other addons do not use LibSharedMedia, this addon (SharedMediaAdditionalFonts) doesn't do anything.

Posted Feb 26, 2026In reply to AllInOneMighty: Sorry, I worded that poorly. OpenDyslexic3 is a font designed for people with dyslexia to help them read more quickly, and it does work well for me at least. I haven't found an addon with a good font for people with dyslexia in Midnight.

Posted Mar 1, 2026In reply to AllInOneMighty: The "newest" is actually version 3 I think, and the versions are just improvements they've made so the higher the better. The first or fourth links should both be OpenDyslexic3, and I think you use TTFs so the fourth link might be easier.
Thank you so much! This would be a game changer. I've been playing the game for 20 years and still have no idea what's going on because I skip all the quest text haha. This with Dialogue UI would make it so much easier and faster.

Posted Feb 26, 2026Is there a way to keep it from deleting all my additional fonts every time I update? The LUA get scrubbed, and the extra fonts folder get deleted every time you push an update through Curse, and I have to re-download 20+fonts.

Posted Feb 26, 2026In reply to cyburbacon: TWENTY fonts?! I was going to suggest to add them to this addon but 20 fonts is like 50% more fonts. Why do you need that many new fonts? I'm curious, just to weigh in whether it should be something to add or not.
That said, in your case it might be easier to simply do a copy/paste of the SharedMediaAdditionalFonts folder, name it like SharedMediaAdditionalFonts-Custom, and put your fonts there. That way it will never be overridden again!
The code of the addon is very stable over the years, so you are not going to have to touch it for a looong time.

Posted Feb 27, 2026All good. I have a bunch of fonts I like to use for different situations. Race, class, dialogue boxes, nameplates, etc. I don't think you need to add them all, but it would be nice to not have them overwritten whenever a new update is pushed. Everything in the folder gets purged each time there's an update.
I'll place the fonts outside the addon folder, but I'll still need to modify the LUA file each time, looks like.
