Past Versions
Cryolysis 2 is now the official release download.
Barring any unforeseen problems, Cryolysis 1 ("Revived", "Reborn", "New Beginning") will no longer be updated/supported. If there is a specific reason(s) you're using Version 1 and need a hot fix to keep it working, you can post here in comments (make sure you note that you are referring to Version 1) or send any member of the team a private message through Curse (list is in the top right corner), and we will try to implement fixes as time permits.
FAQ
- Configuration Menu
To open the Configuration Menu, right-click the Main-Sphere. If you have hidden the main sphere, you can get a list of of commands by typing "/cryo". - Custom Buttons
Custom buttons can now use either spells, items, or macros. Make sure when setting up the custom buttons that you select the correct type (ie: spell, macro, item) and that you press Enter after typing in the name. If you don't press enter, your changes will not be saved. - Spell Timers
Timers have not been implemented yet. As such, the spell timers option should be turned off in the configuration menu for now. These will be implemented sometime after patch 2.4. - Messages/Speeches
Currently, Short Messages have not been implemented. There are a number of different options to display random messages:- USER: Messages will display for you only. Mildly useless, but the functionality is there.
- WORLD: Messages will display for /raid, bar that /party, bar that /say.
- GROUP: Messages will display for /raid, bar that /party, bar that it will remain silent. Old Cryo1 Behavior.
- RAID: Messages will display for /raid, bar that it will remain silent.
- PARTY: Messages will display for /party, bar that it will remain silent.
- SAY: Messages will display in /say.
- Localizations
To help localise Cryo2 in your language, download Cryo2 from WoWAce, edit your locale file in the /locales/ and send it to us. Files should be encoded in utf-8.
Other Info
User input is very important, so please post here anything related to the mod's functionality with as much detail as possible. Please only post Cryolysis 2 errors, as the original Cryolysis will no longer be getting updated Thanks.
Wowace Updater can cause problems with addons if you don't have it set to delete the folder instead of overwriting, be sure that the option "Delete Before Updating" is checked.

It's good to see work is continuing on this.
Out of curiosity though, why is the code being branched all time?
i.e. instead of Cryolysis 1 ("Revived", "Reborn", "New Beginning") and now Cryo' 2 why not just have the one?
taa
For cryo1, the branch names were mostly just marketing ploys...the new authors taking over the project had to create a new project page on Curse for the mod, and you can't have a project name identical to an existing project name.
Cryo2 is a complete recode from scratch and was in development while cryo1 was still being updated. So Cryo2 is truly Cryolysis 2.0.

Gonna ask again for this feature...
Any chance that a spellscaler could be implemented?
ie. targeting a low(er) level character, Cryo2 would scale the conjuring food/water to their level?
it can be a PITA to open spellbook and find the right level food/water if in a very level-mixed group
maybe using a key-combo 'ctrl(+shift?) + conjure food/water' ?
there used to be a mod called "SpellScaler" but since Blizzard changed how things work, this triggers an "action only allowed by Blizzard"
SpellScaler here: http://wowui.incgamers.com/?p=mod&m=1011
At this time, I have no intention of adding this functionality anytime soon. While nice, it isn't necessary and creating water for lower level characters is (in my experience) a very rare occurance. Blizzard has made this kind of feature very difficult to re-add due to the restrictions on targetting and changing what buttons do based on gathered information.

Sorry to hear that, 'cos I could really use it when helping lowerlvl guildies/friends, but hey.. you're the arthor, what you say goes 8)
Hi, do you need to have any tranlation for the following in the r59157 version?
--["Cooldown Timers On/Off"] = true;
--["Debuff Timers On/Off"] = true;
That translation will be needed after path 2.4, I was trying to get debuff timers working without parsing the combat log. The problem I ran into was that it would only show debuff timers if you cast the initial debuff, thus making combat log parsing required.

The latest working copy on the wowace SVN server has the ability to select which mount you want to use for left clicking and right clicking the mount button. I'm going to be working on menu growth options, scaling, and making the configuration menu more organized overall.

Paene, I have emailed a nex locale-frFR.lua encoded in UTF-8... Thanks to the notepad in Windows Vista...
Got it, it's in the next release. Thanks :)
Paene or Jim,
I just mailed you a fully translated German local file.
PS.:
I just noticed, that the files I uploaded are the old ones, the attachment is the new one. So use the new one :P
Got it, it's in the next release. Thanks :)
No Problem ;)
Paene
Not sure what you did but I would like to thank you for returning my Flying Machine to Cryo :)
THANKS THANKS THANKS
Heh, it was quite simple actually. An extra texture name was added to a table in the mod...in fact, every mount listed after the Flying Machine had an incorrect icon as well. :)

I still need people to provide updated locale files! Much of Cryo2's functionality won't work for a specific language unless it is translated properly. If you're interested in helping with translations, please get the latest copy of Cryolysis 2 from http://files.wowace.com edit the locale file that matches your client, and mail it to Jsimon04 AT gmail DOT com. All locale files must be encoded in UTF-8 format, this can be done with a free open source text editor called Notepad++ (google it for the website).
Thanks to all who help,
-Jim-
Just to add im having some issues with the messages also like other ppl.
Can't turn them off at all so have had to use the console channel to report to stop the spam.
Also, repeated sheeping sends out the message again when its not really needed if its still a sheep. If its broken then its nice to have the text show to let party members know ur on the case.
Lastly, i cant seem to get shortened messages either. Always get the long version. Always liked the simple '--->Sheeping Target<---' message. Straight to the point.
Anyhoo im sure you're checking this out already but thanks alot for your time and effort. Good work :)
What version of Cryolysis and WoW client language are you using?
-Jim-
Talyanna, ich hab das selbe Probleme, aber versuchs mal so:
Geh hier hin -> : World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\ DEIN ACCOUNT NAME \SavedVariables
und öffne Cryolysis2.lua
und stelle dort die Messages von true auf false. Also :
["TeleMessage"] = false,
["PortalMessage"] = false,
["MountMessage"] = false,
