About
Cryolysis 2 is sphere mod for mages that automates many common tasks and provides for an easy to use interface for casting spells. Cryolysis 2 provides you with a 10 circular buttons that surround an larger center sphere. The buttons are as follows:
- Food and Water: Allows easy conjuring, trading, and consuming of food and water.
- Mana Gem: Allows easy conjuring and consuming of mana gems.
- Evocation: Dedicated button for using Evocation.
- Mount: Allows easy use of your mounts.
- Teleport and Portal Menu: Organizes and provides easy access to your teleport and portal spells. Each city has it's own button.
- Buff Menu: Organizes your buffs into one easy to use menu. Buff buttons also have reagent counts where applicable.
- Custom Buttons: Three completely customizable buttons that can be assigned to spells, items, or macros.
Cryolysis 2 also comes with a full configuration menu that can be accessed by right-clicking the main center sphere, or by typing /cryo in chat.
Additional features include:
- Funny messages when using your mounts, teleports, portals, and several other spells. These can be toggled on and off as desired.
- Automatic reagent restocking
Past Versions
Cryolysis 2 is now the official release download.
Barring any unforeseen problems, Cryolysis 1 ("Revived", "Reborn", "New Beginning") will no longer be updated/supported. If there is a specific reason(s) you're using Version 1 and need a hot fix to keep it working, you can post here in comments (make sure you note that you are referring to Version 1) or send any member of the team a private message through Curse (list is in the top right corner), and we will try to implement fixes as time permits.
FAQ
- Configuration Menu
To open the Configuration Menu, right-click the Main-Sphere. If you have hidden the main sphere, you can get a list of of commands by typing "/cryo". - Custom Buttons
Custom buttons can now use either spells, items, or macros. Make sure when setting up the custom buttons that you select the correct type (ie: spell, macro, item) and that you press Enter after typing in the name. If you don't press enter, your changes will not be saved. - Spell Timers
Timers have not been implemented yet. As such, the spell timers option should be turned off in the configuration menu for now. These will be implemented sometime after patch 2.4. - Messages/Speeches
Currently, Short Messages have not been implemented. There are a number of different options to display random messages:- USER: Messages will display for you only. Mildly useless, but the functionality is there.
- WORLD: Messages will display for /raid, bar that /party, bar that /say.
- GROUP: Messages will display for /raid, bar that /party, bar that it will remain silent. Old Cryo1 Behavior.
- RAID: Messages will display for /raid, bar that it will remain silent.
- PARTY: Messages will display for /party, bar that it will remain silent.
- SAY: Messages will display in /say.
- Localizations
To help localise Cryo2 in your language, download Cryo2 from WoWAce, edit your locale file in the /locales/ and send it to us. Files should be encoded in utf-8.

User input is very important, so please post here anything related to the mod's functionality with as much detail as possible. Please only post Cryolysis 2 errors, as the original Cryolysis will no longer be getting updated Thanks.

Posted Feb 4, 2008I'm having the following issues:
1) I can't figure out how to set up macros for the custom buttons. I choose macro, and it still says "left click spell", etc.
2) I have constrict buttons to sphere off, and when I relog the buttons go all over the screen and I have to turn constrict on then back off to fix it.
3) Polymorph isn't showing up for the Spell Timers; as far as I know, the rest are.

Posted Feb 5, 2008Just wanted to update that I tried removing all Cryolysis folders from my computer (including the Saved Variables) and reinstalling completely from scratch, and I'm still having the same issues :(
PS: any chance of possibly getting this to support CyCircled? I use the "gold orbs" skin from it, and I'd love to have my UI completely uniform :)

Posted Feb 5, 20081) To get macros to work, just type in the macro name in the "spell" box. Make sure you hit enter!
2) I'll try to recreate the constrict buttons to sphere bug tomorrow if I get a chance.
3) The only spell timers that currently work are cooldown timers. Debuff timers (Polymorph, Imp Counterspell, Fire Vulnerability, etc) won't be implemented until after patch 2.4 due to the re-design of the combat log system that is coming with that patch.

Posted Feb 1, 2008Okay now this is not a huge problem or anything of that matter, but I was wondering does the random comments while sheeping only happen so often because mine stopped working after a while.
If so is there a way to be able to have them come across each and every time and not just sometimes. Because they may be a little corny but I love them.
P.S. I think I have figured out what was the problem, I was doing pre-made bg's when they where displaying and after I left group they where no longer displaying in bg chat..
So if anyone knows what I may be able to do to make this display in bg chat I would really appreciate it.

Posted Feb 1, 2008For the sanity of everyone in the BG, you will most likely never be able to display the messages in BG chat. An alternate would be to use say chat, since that'll display it to only people around you...which is all that really matters anyway. :)

Posted Feb 1, 2008I'm guessing you've personalized them? 'cause I had this same problem after I changed mine. What I found is that I accidentally deleted on single , in the entire section somewhere after the phrase furthest down on the list that I saw work. That would be my best guess without being able to look at your code.

Posted Jan 29, 2008I haven't seen anyone else reporting it, and I only noticed it a while ago myself, but for the "bottom custom button", the tooltip for the button refuses to show whatever i have set to right click. The spell still WORKS, so not a major bug.
It's not a one time deal, and it's been going on for as long as I've had Cryolysis installed (dec sometime).

Posted Jan 29, 2008i have a frost mage and my wife has a fire mage, when two frost spells are put on one of the custom buttons, it carries over to my wifes cryolysis, and she cant use that button, is there a way to change/fix this?

Posted Jan 28, 2008Just curious if anyone else has had this problem or even noticed it. But when a sheeped target reaches the specified time for the ploymorph warning to go off it doesn't make any sound at all. Is this just me?

Posted Jan 28, 2008Yeah I can't get any sounds for my polymorph at all, which is one of the really big reasons I use cryo. This new version is awesome, hope they fix the sound thing. I'm using CCTracker with a focus macro for poly warnings until they get a chance to fix it.

Posted Jan 27, 2008I'm not entirely sure why this is happening, but for every update I have tried after r58394 is utterly broken. The only thing that shows up on the screen is a purple sphere with no buttons in the place on the screen where cryo should be, and two buttons with no icons in the middle of the screen.
No clicks register on any of the buttons, and nothing works.
Has anyone else experienced this?

/cryo profile reset
then reload your ui and it should fix any issues.

Posted Jan 27, 2008I had the same matter before... Clear your cache drive, delete your cryolysis 2 drive in the interface\AddOns directory and the Cryolysis2 files in your Saved variables directories in your WTF directory... Then reinstall the cryolysis zip into your Addons directory then it should be ok...

The second time I did this, it worked fine. The only thing i did differently was use the actual downloaded zip file to install, instead of the Wowace updater to install a new version.
