Getting Started:
You can help translate PitBull for your language with the localization tool.
Classic
PitBull works with WoW Classic! Classic Era/Vanilla is supported in
v4.3.x-vanilla releases. Cataclysm Classic is supported in v4.2.x releases
(the same releases retail use).
Classic Era caveats:
- Aura duration is not available from the API, so PitBull uses LibClassicDurations to show them. The duration can be inaccurate if it's affected by rank or talents.
- Cast info is only available for your spells from the API. PitBull uses LibClassicCasterino to show cast bars for other units, but this can be inaccurate since there is a lot of guess-work involved.

I'm receiving the PitBull4_Aura: Unkown spell ID: 20554 on the PTR, when my character has the Essence of Wintergrasp buff.

Posted Jul 9, 2009Turning off the castbar module or the castbar on the player frame doesn't alter the options to hide the blizzard UI elements. You can control this with the options for the HideBlizzard module. Other CastBar addons would be under their own settings, we have no control over them.

Posted Jul 9, 2009I think it's at 30 yards atm? but my spells are a 36 yrd range ie it fades out before it's actually out of range :( anyhow great addon will use no matter what.

Posted Jul 9, 2009The range check should be based upon the proper spells for your class. So it really should be 36 yards. What class are you?
You can already change how much it fades under the layout settings for Faders.

Posted Jul 19, 2009I tested it on my lock on a friend who stood still. ran away, his frame faded but it was an extra 4 steps away before i wasn't able to buff him detect invisibility anymore.
Anywho it was just a suggestion if it can't be done it's no biggie :)

Posted Jul 9, 2009okay, i will disable party frames in raid.
i don't want to use the cast bar from pitbull. if i disable the cast bar module, or just disable the cast bar for the Player layout, i don't see my blizzard cast bar, or a cast bar from any other addon.
any hint here?

is it possible to hide the raid group which the player is inside? i already see my group because of party frame.
i found the filter option for the Raid unit group, but i can only filter main tanks, main assists, and disable group 1-8 ... this is not very helpful, because i do not know in which group i will be after joining a raid ;-)
sorry for bothering you all, but i liked pitbull3 very much, and now i am trying pitbull4 with a very detailed configuration.

Posted Jul 8, 2009It's going off the number of people and the groups they're in. If there are more than 10 players it's a 25 man raid, more than 25 it's a 40 man. If all members of the raid are in your party then it's treated as a party and not even a raid. If someone is in group 8 and there's 2 people in the raid it's treated as a 40 man. If someone is in group 5 and there's 2 people in the raid it's treated as a 25 man.

as i saw, you can choose between party, 10-man raid, 25-man raid and 40-man raid if you wish to show groups in special situations. what i like to know is, how pitbull will determinate in which "situation" i'm currently in?

Posted Jul 8, 2009Hi there, Up to now i was using Pitbull v3, it's great addon, so I decided to update to 4.x but there is different configuration. Question is: Is there any possibility to export layout form old Pitbull to version 4.0. I mean if there is any option bullet-in or any parsing script or another addon for achieve that. Sorry, it this question was already mentioned, but there are 53 pages discussion without search tool and I didn't find it at documentation.
