Data extract for GatherMate2

How to install the data:

1.) install GatherMate2_Data
2.) Once in game, open gathermate (/gathermate)
3.) Select the Import section
4.) select the data you want and click import.
5.) Profit

State in The War Within & Midnight

GatherMate2_Data and the background tools have been updated for The War Within and prepared for Midnight, and data for Herbs, Mining and Timber locations is already available in the latest update. We'll keep updating the database as more information is uploaded to Wowhead!

This still just needs a .toc update for 8.0.1. The owner, kagaro was last online Mon, Jul, 9 2018 so they are probably still active

Expansion has been out for over a month now, with plenty of data on wowhead so... I'd suggest getting to work or marking it as abandoned.

My thoughts exactly. If the author can't be bothered to update it then mark it as abandoned so someone else will pick it up and either update this or make a new mod to replace this abandoned one.

An addon that has been updated for the current expansion is not abandoned, even if you disagree with the data it has, or doesn't have. Also, authors aren't obligated to take your "suggestion to get to work". Don't be an entitled ass.

I just checked wowhead and there is tons of data for the ore veins so there is no reason this addon shouldn't be updated. I'm thinking this is probably a dead addon now and won't ever be updated.

Gathermate2_Data is outdated with Battle for Azeroth. If you want the Data for Battle for Azeroth, then download this addon now: https://wow.curseforge.com/projects/wowgatheringnodes

anyone help , ive been messing about with addon between 2 chars , and now the mineing ores ive farmed in BFA zones are not showing up on my map they are gone , but i did press import on my other char , does that mean ive lost the ones i did in BFA zone.

Downloaded this + GatherMate2....but when I import data theyre still no icons on the map.

Only when I find herbs by myself it display it on the map.

I run the game in german language...is this the problem maybe?

Is there BFA data yet? When I got the import section, there's no BFA option in the expansion dropdown. Importing data also doesn't add nodes to my BFA map zones.

I have tried several times to import the data. The chat box confirms that is it imported but nothing shows on my map and I have all the setting to show everything all the time.

ARGH! Ok, how do I import the gathermate data? Where does it go? I know just enough about this crap to know it has to go in a file somewhere. What does it mean to "install gathermate2_data"?

Don't worry, I had this problem too. Been gone from WoW too long.

The folder installs just like an addon;

First open up the zipped file you probably just downloaded here (GatherMate2_Data-v31.0 at the time of this post). You can either copy the folder named "GatherMate2_Data" or use "extract to" depending on your zip/compression software.

go to your WoW folder/Interface/AddOns and unzip/paste the ENTIRE GatherMate2_Data folder into the AddOns folder.

That's it, you're installed. As with any new addon you'll have to restart the game client (log all the way out to desktop and back in), and once you're logged back in you can open the gathermate2 options from the Interface>GatherMate2 menu. Choose "Import" and select which nodes you want to import from the Data addon.

Go back to your download folder and delete "GatherMate2_Data-v31.0.zip" unless you like to keep copies of your addons.

Then grab your pick/pole/clippers/shovel and get to work!

I've tried extracting the Gathermate2_data folder into the addon folder, into the gathermate2 folder, and into the locales folder within the gathermate addon and still can't get it to work. I go to the import section of the addon and there are no options.
