GatherMate2
GatherMate2 is an addon to collect and track herbs, mines, fishing pools, gas clouds, archaelogy finds and treasures, and displays them on the world map and the mini map.
This is the Retail version of GatherMate2, the version for WoW Classic can be found here
GatherMate will remember the location of every herb you pick or every ore you mine, so that you can easily find the positions of the herbs and mines again. Once you come into range of a recorded spot, GatherMate will show an icon representing the type of herb/ore/fish/etc. on your mini map, directly allowing you to decide if its worth checking out. Additionally, all spots are shown on the World Map, to ease navigation to certain types of nodes and making gathering more fun.
To give you a head start, GatherMate2 also offers a pre-filled data module, so you don't need to discover all herbs and mines yourself, but instead can just start gathering right away. Simply install GatherMate2_Data and hit a few buttons to import all the provided data, and you're good to go.

Usage
Using GatherMate2 is straight-forward.
After the installation, GatherMate2 is automatically active and collecting data.
You can configure which data should be shown on the World Map or MiniMap in the Configuration Dialog, which can be accessed either via the /gathermate slash command or be found in the Interface options in the WoW Menu.
Localization (Translation of Nodes)
GatherMate2 relies on the node names to be translated in all languages WoW supports. You can contribute additional translations for your language here using the Localization tool:
https://www.wowace.com/projects/gathermate2/localization
Any translations submitted through that tool will be automatically included in the next release.
GatherMate2_Data
GatherMate2_Data has been updated with all fresh data from Wowhead, including support for Shadowlands, and will be continously updated throughout the coming expansion.
If you are looking for a pre-filled database for GatherMate2, get GatherMate2_Data here:
https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/gathermate2_data
I'm not seeing Legion mineral or herb nodes even after the update, today. I wiped the lua file in my SavedVariables folder, and imported from the GatherMate2_Database addon, and all nodes from previous expansions appear as expected.
At first, I thought maybe there was some conflict between HandyNotes and this, but no. Turning that off had no effect.
Help?
NOTE: Gathermate 2 does track nodes I mine/pick in Legion areas, but not ones I haven't, yet.
The GatherMate2_Data addon does not contain any Legion data, sadly it hasn't actually been updated since December 2015! So worry not, simply carry on playing and adding your own nodes for the time being.
Ah ha! Well, that answers THAT question! Thank you.
My gathermate is not registering new nodes for archaeology in legion areas.Herbs ores and other stuff works perfect. Also archaeology nodes work for all previous zones but for some reason it does not work for legion.
Any help pls?
You're still missing the Legion Archeology stuff. I added it for myself but I'm sure plenty of people would appreciate to have it.
Would be nice to get an update to GatherMate2_Data (last updated on Dec 13, 2015) especially when people are directed to install it along with GatherMate2! Heck, even a simple .toc update might give users hope for an actual data update! ;)
Is there any chance that you can add an option for the setting "Show Tracking Circle" to both hide the circle and the icon as well?
There are some places where circles from differences reagents overlap and it just causes too much visual noise. When I'm close to the node/herb, I'd like to just be able to see the default blizzard dot on the minimap.
@TheKreamCs
Most likely it is/was missing localization for your language. Check 1.36.3, it includes a list of new translations, otherwise check https://www.wowace.com/addons/gathermate2/localization/ to fill in the information for your language!
finally an update :)
Would it be possible to add Ancient Mana nodes, please?
Are the dev of this mod going to do something for players with "the addon does not work" problem ?
Its really annoying to farm without this addon so plz do something guy(s) u_u
The addon doesn't work for the new herbalism/mining spot if the plant or ore name is different in your game locale, for instance, Aethril works for me because it's the same in French, but Foxflower isn't being registered when i pickup one, because it's "Vulpille" here.
why can't addon use itemID instead of names... :(
Thank you for your clues, it gave me a solution.
Go in your GatherMate2 > Locales addon folder, and edit your language file.
Lines for new herb/nodes are already here, but in commentary and not translated.
Take the good names ingame, put it on the right place, and remove the commentary sign.
To add archaeology, you must create 3 lines in the Constants.lua files, right Under the WoD ones (and then copy it into your language file to translate it).
Hope this will help you for the moment
Thank you both i could fix the french language with your clue :)
Thanks you
Has anyone managed to get a working Gathermate2 with Legion mining/herbalism spots?
Still not working, I run the game in English so it shouldn't be a locale problem.
Is there anything we can provide to help pinpoint the issue?
doesn't work with esMX client :(
Would be nice to update Gathermate2. I can't find herbs for my profession :/
Need a Update please!
