GatherMate2
GatherMate2 is an addon to collect and track herbs, mines, fishing pools, gas clouds, archaelogy finds and treasures, and displays them on the world map and the mini map.
This is the Retail version of GatherMate2, the version for WoW Classic can be found here
GatherMate will remember the location of every herb you pick or every ore you mine, so that you can easily find the positions of the herbs and mines again. Once you come into range of a recorded spot, GatherMate will show an icon representing the type of herb/ore/fish/etc. on your mini map, directly allowing you to decide if its worth checking out. Additionally, all spots are shown on the World Map, to ease navigation to certain types of nodes and making gathering more fun.
To give you a head start, GatherMate2 also offers a pre-filled data module, so you don't need to discover all herbs and mines yourself, but instead can just start gathering right away. Simply install GatherMate2_Data and hit a few buttons to import all the provided data, and you're good to go.

Usage
Using GatherMate2 is straight-forward.
After the installation, GatherMate2 is automatically active and collecting data.
You can configure which data should be shown on the World Map or MiniMap in the Configuration Dialog, which can be accessed either via the /gathermate slash command or be found in the Interface options in the WoW Menu.
Localization (Translation of Nodes)
GatherMate2 relies on the node names to be translated in all languages WoW supports. You can contribute additional translations for your language here using the Localization tool:
https://www.wowace.com/projects/gathermate2/localization
Any translations submitted through that tool will be automatically included in the next release.
GatherMate2_Data
GatherMate2_Data has been updated with all fresh data from Wowhead, including support for Shadowlands, and will be continously updated throughout the coming expansion.
If you are looking for a pre-filled database for GatherMate2, get GatherMate2_Data here:

Archeology nodes aren't being tracked.
(not currently using GatherMate2_data)
Herbs and ores I harvest are storing properly, but not archaeology fragment nodes. I noticed in the addon menu there is no category for the three new fragment types (Demonic, Highborne, and Highmountain Tauren).
This addon doesnt work for legion zone...
Does this addon not have a minimap button? I can't find it anywhere in the settings. But I thought there was a normal minimap button that this addon had that could be clicked or right clicked to control the visibility of the icons on the map.
Gathermate isn't importing any of the Legion nodes for me. How do I fix it ?
hi there,
i don't see anything on my map in legion area
i did the import thing and selected legion, but still i don't see my profession items on the map
thanks :)
Everytime I log in there is some sort of error window. Anyone else have this issue?
Question, why it's not tracking the herbs that I pick up? If I import the GatherMate2_Data, it works, but I want to use an empty database.
And I found a bug too. I have Herbalism profession, but I had to change the config to 'Only while tracking' because 'Only with profession' isn't working.
I start Herbalsim 1/75 and don't show the first herb i picked up. Go to GatherMate2 main panel - Show Herbalism Nodes - Only While Tracking. That works for me.
Question, does the "Cleanup Database" option not work anymore? I have so many circles around nodes I can't hardly see if they're active or not.
This Addon IMHO could be a good idea...
After installing, I could'nt find it in the Interface menu, on the map, on the minimap,...
...nothing. It's a pity
Works perfectly for me. Interface -> AddOns Tab -> Gathermate 2. There, I have all the configuration options as well as the import function for the pre-compiled database. Are you sure you stuck the folder in the right place?
Regarding Gatherer I did this workaround and it helped (pre legion gatherables and areas work fine):
Wrong Addon.
You are in the comment section of GatherMate2, not Gatherer.
It's scary how out of date the database is that they recommend. What a waste of time...when was the last time you updated GatherMate2_Data? Like 5 years ago?? I'm spending a third of my time in Felwood getting stupid Golden Sansam that are not part of this database when all I want is Gromsblood.
My database after an hour is way better than that piece of junk. My god, update your junk or remove the link, it's ridiculous.
The lastest version of GatherMate2_Data is v29.4 which was released on Dec 13, 2015, a little over 8 months ago! If you have a version that's 5 years old then you must have downloaded the wrong version! Or maybe you failed to actually import the data?
Nobody is forcing you to use this, or any other addon. All these addons are provided completely free of charge. If you don't like it, or aren't happy with it, then you can simply choose to uninstall and either find an alternative or do without!
I have a question,
I use Carbonate for maps your add on puts marks where i find minerals on the large map but not on the mini map. Does this make any since?
I've observed that Gathermate isn't recognizing the key binding to toggle on and off the icons on the main map.
To test this, I disabled all other addons and bound the key for toggling the minimap icons to num pad 1 and bound the key for toggling the main map icons to num pad 2.
The minimap icons toggle, but the main map icons do not. Can you please look into this. When I'm not on a gather run, I really would prefer to hide all the clutter caused by the resource icons. They are all over Tanaan Jungle which is the zone I'm in a lot lately.
Question/Suggestion:
Would it be possible (maybe the Lua code won't allow it) to add a convenient way to toggle the map icons on/off?
The ore/herb nodes are so thick in some zones that I literally cannot find what I'm looking for because the node icons are covering up important information. Like, node icons in many zones almost completely hide the text names of locations.
It would be handy if I could, from the main map, uncheck a box or something to momentarily hide GatherMate's icons, then turn them back on once I've found what I'm looking for.
