GatherMate2
GatherMate2 is an addon to collect and track herbs, mines, fishing pools, gas clouds, archaelogy finds and treasures, and displays them on the world map and the mini map.
This is the Retail version of GatherMate2, the version for WoW Classic can be found here
GatherMate will remember the location of every herb you pick or every ore you mine, so that you can easily find the positions of the herbs and mines again. Once you come into range of a recorded spot, GatherMate will show an icon representing the type of herb/ore/fish/etc. on your mini map, directly allowing you to decide if its worth checking out. Additionally, all spots are shown on the World Map, to ease navigation to certain types of nodes and making gathering more fun.
To give you a head start, GatherMate2 also offers a pre-filled data module, so you don't need to discover all herbs and mines yourself, but instead can just start gathering right away. Simply install GatherMate2_Data and hit a few buttons to import all the provided data, and you're good to go.

Usage
Using GatherMate2 is straight-forward.
After the installation, GatherMate2 is automatically active and collecting data.
You can configure which data should be shown on the World Map or MiniMap in the Configuration Dialog, which can be accessed either via the /gathermate slash command or be found in the Interface options in the WoW Menu.
Localization (Translation of Nodes)
GatherMate2 relies on the node names to be translated in all languages WoW supports. You can contribute additional translations for your language here using the Localization tool:
https://www.wowace.com/projects/gathermate2/localization
Any translations submitted through that tool will be automatically included in the next release.
GatherMate2_Data
GatherMate2_Data has been updated with all fresh data from Wowhead, including support for Shadowlands, and will be continously updated throughout the coming expansion.
If you are looking for a pre-filled database for GatherMate2, get GatherMate2_Data here:
https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/gathermate2_data
So, after getting the newest version, every time I try to load up the Addon, I'm being told "Your computer does not have enough memory to load settings from the following addons: GatherMate2"
Now, I tried clearing my database and all that, but it doesn't help. The only way to fix it is to delete the variables inside my WTF/Variables folder, but then I would lose all my nodes (which cover all continents in the game).
Is there any fix for this??
hi, whats wrong when you cant acsess GM with /gathermate or via interface?? and i have the addons active in addon folder??
Great mod!
Found an error though in the german version (deDE).
Abyssal Gulpers are not recognized while fishing or importing data, due to an translation error:
Instead: "Tiefenseeschluckaale"
it should state: "Tiefenschluckaale"
After changing this in the corresponding *.lua file, it works fine.
Could you add this in an upcoming release?
Thanks and best regards!!! Keep up the good work!
Love the mod, and have been using it for years, but apparently it has an issue with the tutorial missions for the Garrison Shipyard. I'm not exactly sure who figured out that Gathermate2 was responsible, but I had the same problem with mine.
Not entirely sure what the problem is, but it causes a quest to screw up, and not to award the flag for completion.
(This can be fixed by switching off the addon, and reloading the game (or watever it was I did to get it working, but I know abandoning it - which was reccomended on wowhead - wasn't it)
Anyway, hope you can figure out what the problem is and fix it ^^
How do I get it to work once I download it? Which buttons do I need to press?
I have not had Gathermate work in Tanaan Jungle, ever. It will record mining nodes that I hit myself, but even after importing the newest data, won't show me any other nodes. It does not, however, record any withered herb nodes, even after I hit them, and again, won't import any withered nodes. I figured it was just a lack-of-update issue when it wouldn't work for me for the first couple weeks after the Tanaan launch, but I just downloaded the newest data, imported it, reloaded my UI, and still not a single herb node.
I have herb tracking turned on, and the herbs show on all other Draenor zones, but not the jungle. Very frustrating!
Is it just me, or does the cleanup options...not seem to cleanup ?
I recently downloaded this addon as a guest and made an account to bring an issue to light. This addon has some sort of coding that will end up making your professions not count, in my case Mining and Blacksmithing. While it is a great addon, I have removed it until this problem is fixed within the coding and I give warning to those who use this frequently. I spent half an hour and change with the Battlenet Tech team getting this issue fixed. Regards,
Celtic Lion
Works for me. I gather a lot for guild resources and this add on makes it more efficient. Thank you for the time you put into it.
So, I can import earlier expansions' nodes from the GatherMate2_Data but nothing changes when i select to import WoD datas. Does it actually import and i cant see it or is there problem with the importing?
So the addon seems to be having quite a few different problem in windows 10 or in wow or both. Sometimes it works and shows the nodes and sometimes it doesn't. I can get it to load on one character but on another it simply will not show up as loaded. /gathermate returns the message that typing /help will give some commands I can use and looking in interface options doesn't show it, its missing. I've tried disabling the addon and reloading it to no avail.
Another problem it now has regulary is that when it does load it shows the nodes on my minimap but they don't turn when I change direction, their direction remains static while the minimap swivels as I do.
I'm also getting the same as others. 100's of overlapping red rings inside the garrison.
Edit.... re-installed win7 from a clone I have and the addon works on win7 but not win10..... and no red rings in garrison on win 7 for me
So the lastest update seems to be showing the nodes in the garrison which it never used to do. This is absolutely killing my framerates whenever I move. Any chance this can be turned off again?
I'd like to second the request to do something about gathermate showing inside the garrison. Worse, it's showing RED rings everywhere. Even tried doing maintenence, and I stil have empty red rings everywhere (of course, on the surface, where I couldn't mine, anyway) there can potentially be ore *underground* in my mine.
Ditto. I've completely disabled gathermate until further notice. I'm also getting a ton of general errors like annajin's post below mine.
Another voice chiming in with this issue. After the latest update (or data update) I logged on my warrior (the miner) and couldn't immediately figure out why my machine and frame rate were just CHUGGING in my garrison when all my other characters were fine. Oh. Maybe it's the 10,000 red circles in the mini-map, holy crap.
Same here. It's been weeks and still no fix. please fix
Hopefully the latest version finally does away with the excess nodes in the garrison.
got massive error after last update,

ok so, maybe no one has asked or maybe they have, but this addon is missing something. this addon is for compiling data on nodes. where they usually are and where they have been found to aid in the decision of the route to take to farm them. but shouldn't there be a Search Bar somewhere to also aid in helping decide which zone and on what continent might be the best to farm something like say sungrass as an example. typically if using this addon to find a good place one might look at every zone map to see if it has what they need but it really would be quicker to just pull it up in wowhead. but this addon already has that info. as seen while using Routes to create a route in a zone it clearly lists something like (56) nodes of sungrass but that only shows when trying to make a route for a specific zone. why not cut out the middle and make a search box to show something like this:
Search for:__Sungrass
Results: thousand needles (100), eastern plaguelands (60), Burning Stepps (30)
Interesting idea but not sure how useful it would be in practise as there are a number of websites showing best place to farm with maps and routes.
