Addon Description

Bulk mail sending made really easy. Bulk Mail also offers the unique ability to automatically send emails based on rules you configure. This is very useful and powerful if you have bank alts that for specific resources. With a few clicks you can now send all collected items to the right alt simply by opening the send mail page.

Bulk Mail is originally written by hyperactiveChipmunk. NeoTron just took over the addon with his blessing and will work on moving to Ace3 and adding support for LibDataBroker.

Bulk Mail v4.0 Beta

BulkMail v4.0 beta is now available for download. The beta is a complete move to Ace 3, LibQTip, LibDropdown and other modern version of the libraries used. Please report any issues with this version so I can fix it. Right now the Ace2 configuration will be kept around in case you decide to downgrade. Note however that Ace3 configuration will not be downgraded to the Ace2 configuration.

Version History Explained

BulkMail 2 (version 2.x) was the version during Burning Crusade. BulkMail 2 (version 3.x) was the version during Wrath of the Lich King. BulkMail 2 (version 4.x) is the new Ace3 based version. BulkMail 2 v7.x is updated for Legion. Since it's rather confusing to have BulkMail 2 v3.0, BulkMail 3 v4.0 or similar, I simplified it to just BulkMail with a version. Typically the major version matches the current expansion (1 = vanilla, 2 = BC, 3 = WotLK, 4 = Cataclysm) although there's no guarantee for this.

That is odd. Wonder if you have a different version of TabletLib, although that seems incredibly unlikely since it haven't changed in almost 2 years. If you want to help me debug could you add the following to the top of that method:

print("obj = ", obj or "<nil>", ", dest = ", dest or "<nil>")

then reload and let me know what it prints out.

I would love to help but I'm afraid I'm brand new to debugging/code etc. Normally use buggrabber and errormonster to keep the bad stuff hidden away. Explain what you want me to do and I'll do my best!

As an aside, I've got curse client loading alpha versions and release versions of mods and gotten the same problem. Same goes for turning off out of date addons

I'm getting the exact same error on line 951. The fan update one on wowinterface was working well, I'm not sure what the difference could be, but would be a great place to run a diff.

Ok I figured it out. I had a locally modified TabletLib. It's fixed in 3.0.5.

Hello guys. I've officially taken over BM2 after having maintained it lightly since 3.0. My plans definitely include modernizing the addon (Ace3, LDB) while keeping existing functionality on par with the current level. This will take time but for now I've fixed the last issues I found with 4.0 compatibility so you can edit addons again.

I have now officially taken over this project. Yesterday I fixed it up so it works correctly (configuring auto rules). Going forward I'll be fixing bugs, of course, but also plan to move the addon to Ace3/LDB instead of Ace2/FuBar

Someone posted about a year ago asking how to create a rule to send stuff to be DE'd to a character with Enchanting. Someone else replied asking if they still wanted to know because it was easy to set up. The first poster never responded though, so the replier never posted the answer.

Does anyone know the answer? How can I have all BoEs (or just BoE greens) sent to one character?

The way I do it is to send all non-BoP gear (the rule includes greys so be sure to visit a vendor first, there are quite a few mods that will auto-vendor greys) to my disenchanter. Here are the rules I use:

Include:
Item Type: Armor
Item Type: Weapon

Exclude:
Item Type: Weapon - Fishing Poles

I have some pieces in the global exclude (gear I don't want to send to be DE'd like my fishing gloves), but this rule works in general. Remember the mod can't mail anything that's BoP so set gear/weapons/etc… can't be mailed and BM2 will ignore them.

This addon conflicts with Postal.
With Postal active, BulkMail2 does not enumerate the contents of my bags to make a list of things to send.

I can tell you that right now, this DOES work since I'm running with both BM2 and Postal right now and auto send rules works.
