ArkInventory
ArkInventory (for Retail, Classic, and Wrath)
The NoLib variant
it seems quite a few people are somehow getting the NoLib variant from their download client when they didn't specifically ask for it instead of the full variant and its causing issues as they don't have the required libraries installed separately. Please ensure you are downloading the full variant. if you see nolib in the filename then its the wrong variant, unless you are actually installing all of the required libraries separately as well. If you have to you can manually download the full variant from here.
Junk Sell getting blocked
While auto-destroy remains blocked, From 30960 onwards you can setup a Key Binding to manually sell and destroy your items. Note that blizzard require one keypress per deletion, so if you have multiple items that need to be deleted you will need to press the Key Binding multiple times. A message will be output if you have remaining items that can still be deleted.
Alpha / Beta Versions: Ensure you make a backup copy of your saved variables file
Sometimes you cannot revert back to a previous version without a backup so before installing any alpha/beta version please make sure you have made a backup of your saved variable file
Your saved variable file is normally located in ...\World of Warcraft\_client_\WTF\Account\yourwowaccountname\SavedVariables\ArkInventory.lua
If you have your download client set to automatically download alpha/beta versions then it is your responsibility to ensure you have adequate backups of your saved variables file - do not complain if you lose your configuration or it gets screwed up because of an alpha/beta version, it is always a possibility so you need to be prepared.
A simple way to back it up is to just do a copy and paste then rename the new file (using the version number of ArkInventory or the date is a good idea), eg ArkInventory-30900.lua, or ArkInventory-20191228.lua

If you are having an issue then the first step is to disable all other mods and just test ArkInventory by itself
If the issue is still there then please check for an existing issue and lodge a new ticket if required.
If the issue is gone then re-enable your other mods one by one until the issue comes back, then report that to me as well as the other mods author
When posting a comment about an error please do not include the list of addons or really long traces, just the actual error message is fine. If I need more I'll ask you for it.
ArkInventory's display windows are built from "virtual bars", you assign categories to bars so that items in that category are displayed on the specific bars you want. There is no limit to the number of bars you can have inside a window but obviously you only have so much screen real estate before it becomes "too many".
ArkInventory uses several methods to assign a default category to an item such as what professions you have, tooltip scanning, basic type/subtype and PeriodicTable. You then assign those categories to a virtual bar.
You can also over-ride the default category by creating a rule that matches either a single or multiple items.
Overview:
- user configurable window width and height
- separate keybindings for each location for easy viewing
- assign items to a category of your choice (overrides the default assignment)
- assign categories to the bar of your choice
- unlimited number of bars (there are practical limits though before your screen becomes full)
- sort each bar differently if required
- user configurable bars per row
Key Bindings:
Press ESCAPE to bring up the blizzard menu
click on Key Bindings
scroll down to ArkInventory
bind the keys you want to use
See ReadMe.txt and VersionHistory.txt for further details

Ok, replying to myself.
When I removed the addon, I did it manually.
When things weren't working I went back to Twitch/Curse, deleted it that way, then reinstalled, THEN it all worked.
> On version ArkInventory-3.09.05-nolib.zip on Retail, I get numerous errors in various LUAs:
just noticed youre using the no-lib variant so that would be normal if you didnt install the libraries it needs as well, like periodictable.
either download the full variant, or if youre using twitch then right click on arkinventory, select install options, make sure install libraries separately is **not** ticked
after the last update, when i open the AH or post a auction i get this message repeating in my chat box "ArkInventory: scaning: Auctions [10.1] - [7001]" no errors just chat window spam.
edit: this is in retail.
fixed it in 3.09.05
Hi, I had Trade Goods>Herbalism assigned to a bar which used to pick up all Herbs. Now it misses almost all of them, and only gathers some unusual ones such as the broken stem herbs (Rain Poppy Petal, Torn Green Tea Leaf etc), Astral Glory, Felwort Seed, Draenic Seed and Yseralline Seed. Anyone else getting this issue? I think it started with the most recent patch but I'm not 100% sure.
its going to depend on your primary skills. if they have a recipe that uses herbs then the herbs will be classified under that skill.
there are options in the config that allow you to determine where crafting reagents are assigned, eg to one of your skills, or just as crafting mats
In reply to Arkayenro:
I don't know, something weird has happened. The way I had it before, all my herbs were in Bar 9 no matter what alt and what profession I was on. If I was on my blacksmith/miner, herbs went into Bar 9. If I was on my Alchemist / Herbalist, herbs went into Bar 9. Now most herbs are being ignored.
There's some other weird behaviour I've noticed, like Elemental trade goods not going into my Elemental & Enchanting bar, and going into my Jewels & Jewelcrafting bar instead. I've also got enchanting shards going into my Quest Items bar.
Think I'll just uninstall and reconfigure it and see if that works. Thanks for the reply anyway, it's a great addon.
Me again, not having much luck. Deleted settings / addon and reinstalled, then tried to reconfigure, but same thing is happening. This is what I'm getting" https://imgur.com/a/o5sAVbl The expected behaviour (how it was before) is that all Enchanting and Elemental items are gathered under one Bar (Bar 7 here). But the Trade Goods > Elemental filter isn't picking up Elemental items. You can also see the weird shard going into the bar for Quest Items. EDIT: Frostweave Cloth is also ending up in my bar configured to Skill>Engineering.
In reply to Incandio:
More info: If I assign a bar to Trade Goods>Elemental, it picks up some Elemental items including the "combine these to make X" items (motes etc). But the items that are formed after the partials are combined are missed (Primal Life / Eternal Life etc). This is similar to the behaviour with the herbs that I also mentioned (the "broken stem" items are picked up by Trade Goods>Herbalism but the full herbs aren't.)
Having said that, it is picking up some Elemental items (eg Essence of Air) and missing others (Essence of Earth). So not sure what is going on at all.
In reply to Incandio:
Actually, the Trade Goods>Herbalism, Trade Goods>Metal and Stone, Trade Goods>Gems and the Trade Goods>Elemental are all splitting those categories (picking up about half of them and correctly placing them in the assigned bar, and leaving the others in the unassigned bar). The other Trade Goods categories (Cooking / Enchanting / Leather etc) are functioning as expected. The behaviour that I had until a few days ago was that none of this splitting occurred.
click on one of the problematic items. what category did it get assigned? then move down to debug and then pt sets, what sets is it in?
also, check config > general > professions > priority, make its set to ignore if you dont care about assigning them to skill categories
In reply to Arkayenro:
Hi again.
Here are two examples, Large Brilliant Shard and Eternal Air. https://imgur.com/a/lZ0cvD1
Let me know if you can't see it.
The shard is in Default: System > [411] Quest
The Eternal Air, as well as lots of other materials that used to be sorted into my Elemental bar, are now down as Trade Goods > [0513] Jewelcrating
The PT Sets are a bit long to type out but hopefully you can see the image.
In reply to Arkayenro:
Yes, I was just doing that actually. Putting Profession on Ignore fixes the Herb behaviour as some of those had been sorted into Skill rather than Trade Goods for my alchemist. But I don't know what's going on with the shard, or the Elemental mats being sorted into Jewelcrafting. It seems like their Default category has changed to JC. Do I have to reassign them one by one back into Elemental?
a lot of the categorisation requires periodictable. its possible those sets have been updated and, for example, brilliant shards got added to the quest set
i'll check when i get home tonight
great addon thnx for ur work is it possible to lock the bag frame so it doesnt move?
its in the config under profile for the location, next to the anchor point
In reply to Arkayenro:
thnx
Hey, thanks for this great addon. I use it for almost 3 Years now. Is it possible to sort the items by a tsm price value?
no, sorry
Is there a way to use the item tracking part of this addon without the all-in-one bag part?
