Skada Damage Meter
Skada Damage Meter
Skada is a modular damage meter for World of Warcraft with various viewing modes, segmented fights, and customizable windows. It is designed for efficiency with minimal memory and CPU impact.
"Skada" is Swedish for "Damage".
Midnight Edition (WoW 12.0+)
This version of Skada is updated for World of Warcraft: Midnight and uses Blizzard's new session-based combat systems.
Features
- Midnight Optimized: Uses Blizzard's internal session data for performance and accuracy.
- Combat Reliability: Handles modern combat data restrictions for a stable experience.
- Updated UI: Includes new presets with smooth animations, gradients, and textures.
- Dynamic Elements: Alternating row colors, highlight overlays, spark effects, and icon scaling.
- LDB Integration: Compatible with Data Broker displays such as Titan Panel, ChocolateBar, and ElvUI.
- Extensible Architecture: The API allows developers to create additional plugins.
Usage
Getting Started
A default window is created upon first load. Access the configuration menu by clicking the cog icon on the window title bar or via the minimap button. Select Configure to access settings.
Multiple Windows
Skada supports multiple windows. Create new ones under the Windows section of the configuration panel. Windows can be:
- Bar: The standard customizable meter.
- Inline: A horizontal line for custom UI setups.
- Data Text: For LDB displays and minimal setups.
Navigation
- Left-Click: View more detailed information.
- Right-Click: Return to the previous view.
- Mousewheel: Scroll through lists.
- Tooltips: Hover over bars to see additional context and shortcut keys (e.g., Shift-click for targets).
Themes
Manage window designs with the built-in Theme Engine. You can import and export themes by using theme strings.
Versions
- Midnight (Default): For WoW 12.0+ using the Native API.
- Classic Version: The version for older WoW releases.

Posted Jan 16, 2013I want to first say I love this addon! But I'm posting to see if it is a known issue that Skada seems to only save two trash pulls in Heart of Fear. I have the option selected to only save boss segments, but it won't. Just those two trash pulls. I can see current fight stats fine, but not previous boss pulls.

Posted Jan 19, 2013I thought it was weird Skada wouldn't show data some of the time, but now that I think about it, it was indeed always in Heart of Fear.

Posted Jan 16, 2013There's an option in the config somewhere that lets you choose the "default" screen you want (or something to that effect).

Posted Feb 9, 2013Can you (or anyone for that matter) confirm where this option is? I've looked through the options multiple times and I'm having the same issue. From what I can tell looking through the coding it's default is set to current, but keeps doing totals as well.

Posted Jan 15, 2013Skada keeps defaulting to showing "totals" rather than "current fight" every time I zone somewhere. No matter how many times I switch it to "current fight", it will set itself back to "total".

Posted Jan 12, 2013New feature: Have the Number format option change the DPS and HPS column under Damage and Healing.
Maybe even give more options for number formatting.

Posted Jan 2, 2013Skada dosent detect it when players are on other platforms, like on Sha of Fear, it stops recording them completely when your not on the same platform with them, any fix for this?
It really ruins the addon for the fights effected because it dosent provide... accurate numbers.

Posted Jan 4, 2013There is no easy fix for that, your client simply doesn't "receive" any combat log entries from players on other platforms. Same applies to phasing realms, like at Gara'jal.
I remember the very first dps meters had a sync option to communicate data with other players. That would be a way to receive combat log entries from other realms.

Posted Jan 14, 2013Yeah, having the option to sync with other raid members once you leave combat would be great.

Posted Feb 12, 2013This is due to distance. Your game client does not receive any data from those faraway players. The same thing occurs on a few other gimmick encounters across the WoW expansions, but they are few, which is why I have not made a workaround. A workaround would be sharing of data. Recount has this, but disabled by default I believe (due to the cost).
An acceptable (performance-wise) solution would be sharing of end results instead - normal processing during combat, but some sort of after-combat comparision and update of results.

Posted Dec 24, 2012I'm a paladin in TW server , I found my damage done by the lv90 talent skill
" Light's Hammer"only be counted in my own skada , but didn't show in other raid members' skada.
Is that only happened to me? Or that's a bug already fixed/ plan to be fixed?
Thanks for reading.
