Skada Damage Meter

Skada is a modular damage meter for World of Warcraft with various viewing modes, segmented fights, and customizable windows. It is designed for efficiency with minimal memory and CPU impact.

"Skada" is Swedish for "Damage".

Midnight Edition (WoW 12.0+)

This version of Skada is updated for World of Warcraft: Midnight and uses Blizzard's new session-based combat systems.

Combat Reliability: Handles modern combat data restrictions for a stable experience.
Updated UI: Includes new presets with smooth animations, gradients, and textures.
Dynamic Elements: Alternating row colors, highlight overlays, spark effects, and icon scaling.
LDB Integration: Compatible with Data Broker displays such as Titan Panel, ChocolateBar, and ElvUI.
Extensible Architecture: The API allows developers to create additional plugins.

Usage

Getting Started

A default window is created upon first load. Access the configuration menu by clicking the cog icon on the window title bar or via the minimap button. Select Configure to access settings.

Multiple Windows

Skada supports multiple windows. Create new ones under the Windows section of the configuration panel. Windows can be:

Bar: The standard customizable meter.
Inline: A horizontal line for custom UI setups.
Data Text: For LDB displays and minimal setups.

Navigation

Left-Click: View more detailed information.
Right-Click: Return to the previous view.
Mousewheel: Scroll through lists.
Tooltips: Hover over bars to see additional context and shortcut keys (e.g., Shift-click for targets).

Themes

Manage window designs with the built-in Theme Engine. You can import and export themes by using theme strings.

Versions

Midnight (Default): For WoW 12.0+ using the Native API.
Classic Version: The version for older WoW releases.

Yes. It is my only complaint with Skada vs Recount. I was in a group with a tank that refused to wait for me to finish drinking before running off, and the damage meters didn't begin until I entered combat.

I am considering replacing Recount with Skada. But in the first testing in raid, I found that the damage dealt by other members are a little higher in Recount. I guess that this is because Skada did not start tracking the raid damage before I dealt the first damage. Does any one have the same problem?

Healing issue is solved :) Another issue: why can't I see damaged mobs when I shift - click?

Does anyone know if Skada can track pet damage? It only shows my hunter's dps, not what the pet is doing.

Not a bad addon but no thanks, gonna stick with recount+omen for now. I should spend a few more hours tweaking around with skada tho. Im sure if i spend some more time i can configure it to work a little better... i hope.

I am going to give this addon a try. Ive used recount for a long time, before that... damagemeter! Anyway i noticed some fancy functions that grabbed my attention. Hope i can replace recount and that other addon using this one.

Does anyone know how to make Skada default to "Damage Total" instead of "Damage Current Fight"? I always have to manually set it to Damage Total every time I log in. I'm sure there's a setting I'm missing somewhere. Thanks!

Is anyone else having a problem with the skada menu not allowing you to switch your window between each fight or total data? For the last few weeks the lower portion of my menu has been grayed out no matter where I am or what I am doing and it's getting very annoying. I have uninstalled, reinstalled to no avail. Please, any suggestions?

I am having a problem (or maybe missing where to set it) where the dmg done being displayed is not being added from a Shaman's totem (searing totem is an example) or his elemental. It's there on the meter but its not being merged.

Anyone able to help with this?

i love this addon so much. it is so much better than the bloated recount and omen combo. I'll go through an entire 25man raid and skada's mem usgage will be around 3-4mb while recount would be upwards of 25-30. Thanks for the updates and keep it going :D

Is there a possibility that Skada can be used to monitor out of group and out of combat?

I would like to see what randoms around me do on dummies without being in their group and being in combat myself.

Also the fade/mirror image issue noted below, we use fade and our bar is removed. Does not help tanks and people like me pulling agro ><

Mirror Images is fixed in the latest release, though it requires that you use the "Raw threat" option. I'll get it fixed properly one of these days.
