Skada Damage Meter
Skada is a modular damage meter for World of Warcraft with various viewing modes, segmented fights, and customizable windows. It is designed for efficiency with minimal memory and CPU impact.
"Skada" is Swedish for "Damage".
Midnight Edition (WoW 12.0+)
This version of Skada is updated for World of Warcraft: Midnight and uses Blizzard's new session-based combat systems.

Usage
Getting Started
A default window is created upon first load. Access the configuration menu by clicking the cog icon on the window title bar or via the minimap button. Select Configure to access settings.
Multiple Windows
Skada supports multiple windows. Create new ones under the Windows section of the configuration panel. Windows can be:
- Bar: The standard customizable meter.
- Inline: A horizontal line for custom UI setups.
- Data Text: For LDB displays and minimal setups.
Navigation
- Left-Click: View more detailed information.
- Right-Click: Return to the previous view.
- Mousewheel: Scroll through lists.
- Tooltips: Hover over bars to see additional context and shortcut keys (e.g., Shift-click for targets).
Themes
Manage window designs with the built-in Theme Engine. You can import and export themes by using theme strings.
Versions
- Midnight (Default): For WoW 12.0+ using the Native API.
- Classic Version: The version for older WoW releases.

Posted Feb 20, 2010anyway the hide in pvp option can be fixed? it hides for a game or two then after that it pops up every single time even with it checked it always happens.

Yes, if your computer can handle Recount it can surely handle Skada, which is lighter on both memory and CPU usage. I can not say what your problem is though. It is not a general issue at least, as I have never heard of it before.

Posted Feb 18, 2010Unfortunately it's just Skada. I've run several memory intensive mods at once and had no problem. Recount/Gatherer/Xperl all at once. No problem what so ever.
I'll try the new revision you released and see what happens.
edit: My PC isn't the best, but it should be able to handle this no problem. 2x 2.0g processors and 3gb of ram, plenty of hard drive space that's defragged and virus free.

Does it only happen with Skada? Ie, if you disable Skada and use tons of memory-intense addons, do you get crashes? Skada can not crash your game directly, as it like all addons just uses Blizzard APIs, but I was thinking your machine could have some memory issues perhaps.

Posted Feb 16, 2010The Threat part of the addon is not finished, it does show threat but it doesnt show hidden threat. As i play a mage this is very frustrating since i dont know what my threat is when i use my mirror images and thus dont know if i need to invis or not.
My guess is this will count for all the other similar effects like Fade aswell, so a quick fix would be lovely! <3

I get a horrible problem with this mod that makes me crash sporadically during anything ranging from 5 mans to raids.
I've tried dropping a few of the modules I don't really need, debuff uptime, power, CC, fail reports.
I use the main Skada window and don't create any new ones. I generally have the window switch to threat mode during combat also.
Apart from changing font/bar sizes etc most of the configuration is default, save for only keeping boss segments.
I only use Bigwigs and EBB and I have tried using nothing but Skada but still run into crashes so I don't think its a mod conflict problem.
Has anyone experienced this problem and found a way to fix it?
I really do like Skada and would much rather use it than Recount, though this crash problem is not really letting me do that.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Posted Feb 10, 2010Just one thing I noticed: I can't whisper a report when I am dead. It just does not show the window where I can type the name of the recipient. Only when I am alive does the window show. Is there a fix or workaround for this?
