Skada Damage Meter
Skada Damage Meter
Skada is a modular damage meter for World of Warcraft with various viewing modes, segmented fights, and customizable windows. It is designed for efficiency with minimal memory and CPU impact.
"Skada" is Swedish for "Damage".
Midnight Edition (WoW 12.0+)
This version of Skada is updated for World of Warcraft: Midnight and uses Blizzard's new session-based combat systems.
Features
- Midnight Optimized: Uses Blizzard's internal session data for performance and accuracy.
- Combat Reliability: Handles modern combat data restrictions for a stable experience.
- Updated UI: Includes new presets with smooth animations, gradients, and textures.
- Dynamic Elements: Alternating row colors, highlight overlays, spark effects, and icon scaling.
- LDB Integration: Compatible with Data Broker displays such as Titan Panel, ChocolateBar, and ElvUI.
- Extensible Architecture: The API allows developers to create additional plugins.
Usage
Getting Started
A default window is created upon first load. Access the configuration menu by clicking the cog icon on the window title bar or via the minimap button. Select Configure to access settings.

- Data Text: For LDB displays and minimal setups.

- Right-Click: Return to the previous view.
- Mousewheel: Scroll through lists.
- Tooltips: Hover over bars to see additional context and shortcut keys (e.g., Shift-click for targets).

Manage window designs with the built-in Theme Engine. You can import and export themes by using theme strings.
Versions
- Midnight (Default): For WoW 12.0+ using the Native API.
- Classic Version: The version for older WoW releases.

Posted Dec 27, 2014I'm having same problem. It's not just Skada though. I was useing Recount untill I switched to Skada last week. Recount was having the same issue. It was showing our Brewmaster monk tank doing the most healing every fight. I thought it was just Recount messing up so I switched to Skada and its having the same problem.

Posted Dec 29, 2014The weird thing is my Recount was showing my monk tank as top healing most fights in Highmaul while my boyfriends recount on his pc wasnt doing it. Thats the only reason I switched to Skada and Skada is doing it to. Maybe yours isnt but mine was and Skada still is. He switched to Skada right after I did and his skada isn't doing it either. I don't know what is going on. I've checked in the options and made sure everything was the same as his. Did Highmaul last night again and sure enough monk tank was usually within the top 3 healers listed on most fights.
I'm sticking with Skada because I like it better so if no one is haveing this problem with recount then whatever. I honestly thought it was a problem with skada/recount on my pc alone until I came here and saw some others mention they are having the same issue.

Posted Dec 30, 2014You may want to check to see if Staggered damage "removed" with Purifying Brew counts as a heal. Since Staggered damage becomes a DoT, Purify (removing the DoT) might be registering as healing instead of prevention/absorbtion.

Posted Dec 23, 2014Something is wrong with skada healing and Brewmaster monks. Our monk was topping the healing charts on Skada for somereason with his attack.
Combat log showed the correct values after looking at it later that night.

Posted Dec 24, 2014There was a fairly significant error in 1.4-26, which had healing by absorption for melee swings shown as "Attack". This has been corrected in 1.4-27.

Posted Jan 17, 2015I actually enjoyed seeing how much dmg I staggered. Do you think you could have an option to be able to see it somewhere?

Posted Jan 7, 2015This bug still exists, but does not seem to effect everyone. Myself and a few other raiders often see my monk at or near the top of the meter with Stance of the Sturdy Ox doing the bulk of this healing. A couple of our healers see me below all the actual healers and do not see that spell at all. On Butcher recently this has been rather amusing as my brewmaster is often well ahead of all the healers on my Skada due to the absurd amounts of stagger. The only logical thing I can see is that Skada is, for some, registering stagger as healing. Quite possibly becuase we can purify and remove it as has been previously mentioned.

Posted Jan 7, 2015This is because Stagger is technically an absorb like any other, and Skada was recently changed to handle Blizzard's new fancy SPELL_ABSORBED events. In the current alpha the Monk's special absorbs are once again ignored.

Posted Dec 23, 2014Absorbs are possibly off in skada (or recount) as they are now wildly different to each other.
Recount has roughly double the values skada is showing (pws and cow).

Posted Dec 22, 2014Since the last updates the healing seems to be off for disc priests. People who haven't updated to the latest version tell me I'm doing 35k hps, but on my Skada I see that I'm only doing 18k dps. There seem to be an issue with Paladins as well. His healing had a difference of 10k hps on my meters.

Posted Dec 22, 2014Hello! I started to use your addon just a few days ago, and i like it much more then recount at least for one reason: fps. But in recount there is very convinient to analyze and compare overheal, couse i can see what spell overhealed and amount of ticks. In skada i can see overheal of specific spell only in "healed" mode, and it's unconvinient, couse i can't see all picture in one list.

Posted Dec 22, 2014Hi, I have a problem using Elvui and Skada together: Each time I reload my ui, or log in my char, Skada removed to it's old place. I want to have it a little bigger - more wide - in the right chat window of elvui. I can do this, but after every reload or relog, it's resized. Is it possible to keep the size and place with elvui?

Posted Dec 13, 2014"Anyone else having the problem where the skada box moves itself? I'll put it in the bottom right corner, change toons, and it's on top of the mini map. I'll move it on that toon to the bottom right corner, change back to the original toon i was on and it's back on top of the mini map... Yes, I've "locked" the window when I place it and no there is no one specific character it does it on, it does it on all of them. Started doing this in 6.0 and have been waiting to see if there's a fix since then. Please help! :[ " quote from chymaira . I am having this same issue please help!

Posted Dec 5, 2014Is there a way to count "Primal Tenacity" and "Tooth and Claw" absorbs from guardian druids? Warcraftlogs site does that and since all site and skada do is parse combat log i guess there should be a way to account for these abilities in skada also.
