Skada Damage Meter

Skada is a modular damage meter for World of Warcraft with various viewing modes, segmented fights, and customizable windows. It is designed for efficiency with minimal memory and CPU impact.

"Skada" is Swedish for "Damage".

Midnight Edition (WoW 12.0+)

This version of Skada is updated for World of Warcraft: Midnight and uses Blizzard's new session-based combat systems.

Usage

Getting Started

A default window is created upon first load. Access the configuration menu by clicking the cog icon on the window title bar or via the minimap button. Select Configure to access settings.

Multiple Windows

Skada supports multiple windows. Create new ones under the Windows section of the configuration panel. Windows can be:

Bar: The standard customizable meter.
Inline: A horizontal line for custom UI setups.
Data Text: For LDB displays and minimal setups.

Navigation

Left-Click: View more detailed information.
Right-Click: Return to the previous view.
Mousewheel: Scroll through lists.
Tooltips: Hover over bars to see additional context and shortcut keys (e.g., Shift-click for targets).

Themes

Manage window designs with the built-in Theme Engine. You can import and export themes by using theme strings.

Versions

Midnight (Default): For WoW 12.0+ using the Native API.
Classic Version: The version for older WoW releases.

Strangely, I have the opposite problem. For me it always reverts back to current fight. For dungeons I'd rather it be on total.

Well until that's fixed you could download AddonControlPanel, which lets you enable and disable addons with just a ReloadUI, instead of having to log out.

I really love Skada, But one problem I have been having is that while it is active I can't get into Battlegrounds. It would be cool if you could address this sometime. Its a bit of a pain to go from a BG and have to log off to use Skada in a dungeon. Thank you in advance.

LibBossIDs-1.0 was last updated Sep 13, 2013. Just because Curse doesn't show Alpha versions it doesn't mean that there are no updates. Skada has the updated version embedded. If you use disembedded libraries you should know what you do (hint: Don't just use Release versions).

CallbackHandler-1.0 and LibStub don't need any updates, they are working perfectly fine with the latest WoW. No one will just update the interface version number in the toc file for a library because - again - it is assumed that someone who uses disembedded libraries knows what he does.

Is it possible to not make this addon dependent on the Lib BossIDs-1.0? I ask this because Lib BossIDs-1.0 is way out of date being last updated for 4.3 on January 14 2012.

Heres another addon that claiming Skada is dependant on it but way out of date Lib CallbackHandler 1.0. This addon was last updated for 4.0.3a on January 14 2011.

Another one is LibStub being last updated for 5.0.4 on August 27 2012.

Keep in mind that I didnt install Skada till ToT came out to replace Recount increasing laggness and lag issues and that im trying to get all my addons up to date but constantly seeing the same ones all the time out of date and would like to remove the said addons thats over 1 year out of date but cant if others are dependant on them.

Im sorry sir/ mam but you are very wrong. I went directly to their webisite and it even says Lib Boss IDs last updated as the date i first posted. Also Skada did not update it when i first posted it since world of warcraft still said it was out of date that is why i went to the website directly to check.I even uninstalled both and reinstalled them and it still said the first posted update. Also I have no clue what disembbed librares are.

Addons need the patch update still requardes if they ware working correctly that way when a person looks at the addons ingame it doesnt say they are out of date and there fore make it harder for game masters to say its because your addons are out of date or its your UI.

Everything is good about it except:
1) no UI overlay settings (cant change ui Layer position - cant make it higher than main WoW UI.)
I have a 1920x1080 screen an i used to put reount on the left of skill slots under chat window. But there is that "statue" of a raven on the end that covers skada window. I cant bring skada higer than statue.

2) no way to move around positions in a list of bars. For example i want only DPS and Damage made. They a re war apart i have to scroll the list and look for them all the time. Insted i could have placed them one after another and switch quikly

is it possible to not get skada up when doing pet battles? its kinda annoying when i do a pet battle and skada pops up

Is it possible to have separate configs for 5 mans/scenarios and Raids? Maybe by installing skada twice or something and changing something in the config? I like a big list of dps in raids and a smaller one in parties, it looks a bit silly to have a big skada in 5mans and scenarios if you know what I mean. Thanks!

Seems Skada is sort of broken. Every time I log out, the next time I log in I need to reload Skada or else it won't collect any data.

Any reason why this is happening? Might be worth telling that I have a 'damage' tab and a 'healing' tab.

Guess it's back to Recount..

if you have had skada for a long time , id reccomend deleteing it and reinstalling , as the changes made over the years might have built up errors for you. also try doing a ui reset. Skada is workign I assure you.

I've had Skada for a week now, since I added a second window it requires me to reload the ui everytime after I log out. Any idea what's up? If you think it's something with my Skada I suggest you google the problem, more people like me with the same problem.
