Skada Damage Meter
Skada is a modular damage meter with various viewing modes, segmented fights and customizable windows. It aims to be highly efficient with memory and CPU.
"Skada" is Swedish for "Damage".
Note: I took a tiny break from WoW (a decade), but recently started playing SoD. Be aware that this addon may not quite work yet.
Usage
When you first start using Skada, there will be a window created by default. This window can be extensively customized in Skada's configuration panel; click the little cog icon to access a menu, and then click Configure. Depending on your user interface, there may also be a minimap button allowing quick access to this menu.
Skada supports multiple windows. To create a new window, click Windows in the addon's configuration panel. There are three built-in types of windows - Bar, Inline, and Data text. Bar is the classic damage meter window, and is very customizable. Inline shows the meter in a horizontal line, which can be useful for integration in custom user interfaces. Data text shows just one item at a time, and can also be displayed by any LDB display addon, such as Titan Panel, ChocolateBar, or ElvUI.
In the normal Bar window, you can left click on specific items for more detailed information, and right click for less details. At the very "top" is the list of all saved fight segments. Some data modes have several detailed information views. In this case you choose alternate views by holding certain keys pressed while clicking. For example, in Damage mode, you can Shift-click a player to see what enemies the player caused damage to. Tooltips will display how to reach the different views.
You can also use window buttons for selecting fight segment and mode directly.
Scrolling in Skada is done with the mousewheel.
Plugins
Skada is easy to extend, and there were once many extra plugin addons out there that add functionality. However, there are unlikely to be any maintained ones currently.
There is a page with API information here.

For now use comments.
i've also seen that it will not store any boss data from ToT. you can see each boss as it's currently happening, or until you start combat with something else, but it won't keep the boss fights for later examination
nice meter, been using it for a while now, but it doesn't keep ToT boss's. if that gets fixed it'll be worth using again.
I would like the opposite, is there anyway to do so? In the new version the dps is shown as K DPS format, how do I change it back? It's stupid to see healing without rounded, and damage with rounded numbers.
Its not showing any rounded numbers for me , how come you have it ?
No idea it came after the latest update
Ist possible to show rounded numbers instead of full number format, for example
instead of saying 100000 DPS
I would like the damage meter to show 100k DPS format
Thank you
Just a suggestion, but would it be possible to make the minimap button freely moveable?
I am having the same issues with Skada where it does not record ToT bosses. Unfortunately I will have to use Recount until Skada is up to date /sad face.
Skada doesn't record ToT bosses.Problems started with some of hof bosses but it's sad to see all bosses are buggy with skada atm.
I have it set to only keep bosses but it wont keep raid bosses. It only seems to keep ranodom bosses in im solo and not gorup/raid.
Selecting the monochrome font flag crashes WOW.exe 100% of the time:

does anyone know how accurate this is in comparison to recount?
Is this still causing the game to practically lock up when Stampede is used? I hate having to use recount, which is what I'm forced to do, currently
In 5.2 I'm having a problem where none of the Throne of Thunder bosses will be recognized by Skada, and the fight segments saved. In 5.0 I had a similar problem with most bosses in Heart of Fear similarly not being saved, but that was solved by correcting the BossIDs library.
I've checked the boss ids for the first 3 encounters in ToT, and those are all correct as far as I can tell. Is there anything else Skada checks to determine whether to save a fight? I have double checked and the libBossID in Skada is the only one I have installed.
was wondering if theres a way to make the text bigger for skada cuase i Love the addon but i cant resize it
Is there way to set it to where it keep the total window instead of changing to a per encounter window?
I have "Hide when solo", "Hide in PvP", and "Disable when hidden" all checked. However, for some reason, the skada window pops up whenever I queue solo into a random bg. Hoping this can be fixed.
Storm, Earth and Fire clones are still being treated as individuals (with merge pet checked and unchecked) would you please update to track them as pets of the owner, I know it can be done because tinydps does it.
About the issue with "Storm, Earth and Fire" giving the player 2-3 separate instances on the damage meter:
The same also happens for hunters, when their pet has the same name as the player character (pet owner).
Would be nice if you could give a fix for both.
Since the new patch cannot get Skada to appear on my addon list ingame. I have updated it through Curse and still not showing up..
