Past Versions
Cryolysis 2 is now the official release download.
Barring any unforeseen problems, Cryolysis 1 ("Revived", "Reborn", "New Beginning") will no longer be updated/supported. If there is a specific reason(s) you're using Version 1 and need a hot fix to keep it working, you can post here in comments (make sure you note that you are referring to Version 1) or send any member of the team a private message through Curse (list is in the top right corner), and we will try to implement fixes as time permits.
FAQ
- Configuration Menu
To open the Configuration Menu, right-click the Main-Sphere. If you have hidden the main sphere, you can get a list of of commands by typing "/cryo". - Custom Buttons
Custom buttons can now use either spells, items, or macros. Make sure when setting up the custom buttons that you select the correct type (ie: spell, macro, item) and that you press Enter after typing in the name. If you don't press enter, your changes will not be saved. - Spell Timers
Timers have not been implemented yet. As such, the spell timers option should be turned off in the configuration menu for now. These will be implemented sometime after patch 2.4. - Messages/Speeches
Currently, Short Messages have not been implemented. There are a number of different options to display random messages:- USER: Messages will display for you only. Mildly useless, but the functionality is there.
- WORLD: Messages will display for /raid, bar that /party, bar that /say.
- GROUP: Messages will display for /raid, bar that /party, bar that it will remain silent. Old Cryo1 Behavior.
- RAID: Messages will display for /raid, bar that it will remain silent.
- PARTY: Messages will display for /party, bar that it will remain silent.
- SAY: Messages will display in /say.
- Localizations
To help localise Cryo2 in your language, download Cryo2 from WoWAce, edit your locale file in the /locales/ and send it to us. Files should be encoded in utf-8.
Other Info
User input is very important, so please post here anything related to the mod's functionality with as much detail as possible. Please only post Cryolysis 2 errors, as the original Cryolysis will no longer be getting updated Thanks.
sorry about all the added comments, not sure why it added three, must have been server lag or something. I deleted all but the one above :)
Right now there's not an option to show custom button item counts and cooldowns. With the way the code has been written, it could be somewhat challenging to do the cooldowns. The item counts on the other hand might not be too hard.
This is definitely something that is being planned for Cryolysis 3 (which will be modular and work for all classes). Cryo3 is still only in the planning stages, but once work begins, it should get developed faster because we can re-use a lot of Cryo2 code, and it's not my first addon so I'm not learning as I code.

O.o OOOoooo Drooling already :)
i implemented some functionality to cryolysis for showing why the sheep was broken and who did it. would be glad if i could send you the modified files and see this feature in one of the next releases. should be about 5min work to copy the moded parts.
some infos:
output in this implementation is only the chatframe.
it only shows infos of the own sheep (there are other addons for overviewing all of the cc in the raid).
its localized to english and german.
the infos are alwas shown if the sounds are activated. maybe there should be an extra option.
names are colored. (red = hostile, green = friend)
examples:
Polymorph on xyz was removed. (if it run out)
Polymorph on xyz was removed by zyx's multishot. (if somebody broke it)
If you want to, you can send me the code. Jsimon04 AT gmail DOT com. I'll take a look, as I'm interested in how you did some of the tracking.

got mail ;)
I already have something similar to this in the SVN release. It's not quite as nice (no coloring and doesn't specify what attack broke it), but it will improve with time. Right now my main focus is to get the mod back to a stable state.

AAAHHHHHH!!!
Just updated via the WAU and all of the sudden my default chat frame is being inundated with everyone's spell castings! I can see who and what, not sure where this came from, but help it's spamming left and right and all in the middle too :(
Also the timer bar is still showing up after I tell it NO.
Help :)
Don't use WAU to update and not expect errors/bugs

One thing I'd love to comment on here...
I see this a TON from you. Its kinda crap IMO to be saying that when a lot of places anymore are pushing automatic updaters, because, let's face it...there is a TON of addons people use anymore, and its way too cumbersome to manually update 100+ mods.
Out of all of the mods I run, only *2* ever really have issues....and the one is generally updated within 30 mins if an issue is found. (Omen) Yours is now the other.
Whereas, yes, I agree that you should expect issues if you run the SVN *beta* releases, the stuff you've been putting up anymore is *alpha* status if anything. Almost NOTHING works with it. When you "break" Cryolysis 2, you REALLY break it. Every button won't work, the sphere loader doesn't even show up properly, you can't get into the menuing system, etc. I'm not talking about it happening due to any saved variables or older files in with the newer stuff....even if you wipe it out and wipe out the SVs, its still that way.
If you *really* want to insist that using the updater etc can break the stuff for you, then why not just go and use a seperate SVN for the alpha builds you seem hellbent on making (and label them as such) Or, have the description on the SVN updater list it as ALPHA, not beta. An alpha tends to be very unusable. Beta's tend to have bugs but are in a pretty usable state. Anymore, the "updates" you push through the WAU are alpha at best. 100% agree that with a beta product you should expect some issues, but when the issue is the whole thing doesn't work at all, ugh.
My guess is I'm just going to need to get rid of Cryolysis altogether.
point taken :)
I think is has something to do with what you guys are trying to tie in for the Poly warning, and who broke it, machs nicht though really, still able to deal the boom boom :)
anyways, thanks for the quick heads up Paene
Yeah, there's a ton of changes between the current stable version (Curse) and the current SVN release. It's getting closer to a new release, but things are still buggy.

Another suffering from my problem? For some strange reason, the graphics in my buttons are all wrong for some reason, like mana gems not lighting up and my gryphon mount being the Horde one instead?
What version are you using?
-Jim-
try typing "/cryo profile reset" click okay/accept and then reloadui
The latest version that was uploaded here. Not sure what went wrong, but the buttons started to weird out after that.
The latest SVN release has more fixed, as well as some of the cooldown bar functionality back. The colors don't work at the moment due to a library issue. They'll be fixed in the future. This SVN release also resolves issues with the main sphere not updating properly. It should also result in a slightly faster load time.

* r70619 Cryolysis2/ (23 files in 5 dirs):
Cryolysis2:
- Fix new Ace3 Options dialogue
- Clean options dialogues to make them more consistent
- Some sphere stuff still does not work properly...
More specifically, the counters on the main sphere is broken for some reason.
The latest SVN release is using Ace3 instead of Ace2 Framework. There are currently 2 known bugs with it:
- Settings are not saving between sessions (might actually be fixed with a last minute change I made last night, never actually tested it)
- Timers do not work
I'll be hammering out these problems later today most likely.
-Jim-
DO NOT USE THE LATEST SVN RELEASE IF YOU DON'T WANNA EXPERIENCE ANY BUGS. The version put on Curse should be fairly stable, the SVN releases are works-in-progress.
