The Addon HidingBar supersedes MBB on all aspects and is continually updated.

MBB reduces minimap buttons and makes them accessible through a pop out menu. Click the MBB button to expand the menu and display the buttons. Each button that is collapsed into the menu can be reattached to the minimap with Ctrl + Right Click. The MBB button can also be detached from minimap with Ctrl + Right Click.

Hot Key

Ctrl + Right Click - detach / reattach a minimap button

Slash Commands

/mbb - shows the MBB commands
/mbb buttons - shows a list of all rfames in the MBB bar
/mbb reset position - resets the position of the MBB button
/mbb reset all - resets the MBB settings

Hey, MBB isn't currently working with these 4 TomCat's Tours addons:

Would be awesome if they could go into MBB too :)

edit: actually the Candy Bucket one doesn't have a minimap button, just the other 3.

Hey great to see this addon back in action.

I was wondering if you could fix a bug for me. Your addon disables the Anttrail feature of this addon

I've been quite busy with work since the release of BFA and haven't yet leveled my main to 120 however I do plan to update this addon before finishing levelling my main. I have noticed a comment about a stutter/freezing issue caused by MBB however to date I have not been able to replicate this with a 6 year old machine. Any hints as to how to trigger the reported stutter/freeze would be greatly appreciated. If you don't want to comment here feel free to send me a private message.

Thank you for replying! Swatter isn't catching any errors. I'm using a piecemeal upgraded machine, running Linux, and running WoW under WINE mediated by Lutris. I have a readout on one corner of my screen showing me memory use and cpu use. Mostly, memory use hasn't really increased with BfA, but cpu usage has at least doubled. That said, I run with 50-75% memory use if I'm running wow, and about 30% with just my 'usual stuff' (discord, 2 browsers with 5-30 tabs each, a platform-agnostic chat client, a multi-solitaire game - I expect most of the generic memory use is the browsers).

I was having stutters and jerks in game, and my eye caught my fps readout (addon called Lagbar). Instead of trying to keep moving throught it I just watched, and realized that the stutters were actually freezes, and they were rhythmic. I moused over the ? in the micro menu, and saw that MBB was using 75+MB memory, and growing. The stutters were also in time with the numbers going up, but that didn't change with me moving the mouse and the screen not having to update.

I have a *lot* of addons, and I know that sometimes they all use the same libraries, and the wrong addon can get 'blamed'. I don't know what else to look at, or suggest, and I'm happy to try things to help figure it out.

People on Curse are complaining about this addon causing stuttering and freezing.
While I've not (yet) encountered this issue, I would love to see an update for BFA.
Any plans for an update?

Neither the owner nor the author have been on Curse since March/April. If this addon is causing issues for your game, I recommend moving on to a different one.

I agree with Ambiguouskid, although I am using Minimap Button Frame successfully, as no other alternative that I can find or is even considered acceptable. Good luck and let us all hope that either someone takes this project up or someone does something very similar or possibly better, if that is possible. Also if you really want you can email the author or owner and most of them do respond within a reasonable period. I have only had good experiences with authors and I appreciate everyone of them for their effort and hard work to make my game play so much better, especially with my disabilities.

I've no clue if this will be updated. I hope so. Unfortunately, I tracked down a stutter/freeze issue to this addon and I've had to disable it. It would make my game freeze for about a second, every 2-3 seconds, and was growing in memory usage (it was second on the list of three that show up when you hover your mouse over the ? minibutton).

Alas, it was much better than the other three I tried.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I don't have a suggestion, except for doing the same thing that you have done. I have the same issue and only yesterday my game client locked up for just over 30 seconds and was then back to normal. However, it keeps doing it and is getting very frustrating, although I haven't disabled it as yet, it isn't far off being done. I just hope the author sees this, and I assume you have placed a ticket in on the Project Page or he/she may not even read or see this post?

Sorry I don't. If I have no other addon installed except for only one random other addon with a map icon and I tried several to be sure, it just keeps stalling or freezing when even just mousing over the icon. I can use MiniMapButtonFrame with no issues at all and running all the same addons. Sorry as there are no errors or way of understanding I am unable to help you to help me, which really sucks. It does it on both Horde and Alliance and any level character makes no difference either. I have also tried different zones and everything I can think of, but nothing rectifies the issue including dropping video settings, which I was sure would have helped, but did nothing to it at all. I know you cannot do anymore than you are and without seeing it, it is basically impossible to fix. Sadly this is the best addon hands down for this and hasn't had any problems previous to BFA. I do not remember when it started, as I wasn't sure if it was this one at first or another, until I noticed others posting as well and maybe they do have more information to help out? I do not know how to debug either, but if there is something you want me to try, I am more than willing to help out, I just don't know how sorry. I also wanted to say thank you so much for trying to fix this and at least acknowledge there is a problem some where and it could end up being a stupid blizzard thing that isn't easy to pick up, as in a taint that isn't showing up?
