FocusInterruptSounds
Makes a sound when your current target (or focus**) starts casting. To configure settings type '/fis' (or go to Interface Options).
Also has basic functionality to announce successful interrupts.
** Use with [target=focus] macros for interrupts (Counterspell, Spell Lock, Wind Shear, ...).

It looks like this should be possible in Midnight, since there’s another addon called MidnightFocusInterrupt that can already play audio when a focus target is casting. The issue with that addon is it doesn’t check whether my kick is on cooldown, so it still plays the sound even when I can’t interrupt.
I’d much prefer to use this addon instead of the other one if you could have this up and running with that cooldown check added. It would honestly be amazing going into Midnight. Appreciate your efforts <3

Posted Jan 22, 2026I've been using FocusInterruptSounds for over 20 years. If i could choose just one addon, it would be this. Not weak auras. I have found an alternative called Midnight Focus Interrupt. its functional, but not quite there. I'm going to miss the 'successful interrupt sound'. I'm quietly hoping (begging) you guys will pull through. Either way, I'd like to express my appreciation for the help and fine work over the years. Thank you!

Posted Apr 23, 2025Season 2 on BM hunter, having the same problem that Havo (warlock) was having on 8/5/24. No sound while spell is being cast. Does make interrupt sound if I successfully interrupt, but nothing else.

Unfortunately, it doesn't happen for me. I get the casting sound on my BM hunter testing on Workmaster Earwax near Dornogal.
1) Can you try resetting your settings to default to see if that fixes it? /fis -> Profiles -> Reset Profile
2) Can you share an export string of your talents?
3) What mob are you testing on?

Posted Aug 6, 2024It seems like ever since the pre patch. The interrupt sound does not work on my Warlock. I have tested this with all addons off and just FIS running. I have logged on mage, dk, druid and it works fine. I had a buddy log onto his warlock and he has the same issue. No sound while a spell is being cast. It does make a sound if you successfully interrupt but that's it. Please advise

There's a 'w' at the end of the file. Remove it and all should work.
