Elkano's BuffBars

Table of Contents

EBB provides groups of statusbar style indicators to show (de)buffs currently affecting your char or some other units (currently focus, pet and target). For the player, it can also show indicators for temporary enchants place on it's weapons.

Due to changes Blizzard made with WoW 4.x it's no longer possible to cancel buffs without the use of secure frames. Currently EBB limits canceling of buffs to out-of-fight since using SecureAuraHeader would have required a major code restructuring. This will be coming in a later version.

Version 2.x is a total recode based on the Ace2 framework which became necessary in order to support some of the longtime wanted and suggested features. It's now possible to show different groups of bars which can be configured in many ways. Each group can be assigned an individual look and filter settings. EBB can be configured via a dropdown menu which is accessible via chat (/ebb config), FuBar plugin or (for the group settings) by right clicking the groups anchor. After setting up a group, its anchor can be hidden by alt-left clicking a bar or the anchor itself in order to lock the group in place.

In order to get additional bar textures and fonts for EBB simply install SharedMedia which is available for download under http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/sharedmedia.aspx

if you mean the mounts using the 'new' vehicle stuff, I was able to get their buffs using a group for PET. But no idea if that will work if you have a real pet, too.

No idea why 135 is giving that error... the lib is included in the download. Or are you installing in disembedded mode?
Well, I set my latest alpha to release so it should be available as main download via curse, soon.

Hi Elkano,

Thanks for a great addon!

Question: is it possible to have a buff bar showing a pet's Growl and Cower? I really need to be able to see the state of those two skills on screen.

You mean the cooldown of the two abilities, don't you? In that case: no, EBB doesn't track cooldowns.

iirc, "Beacon of Light" is a buff for its target only so unless you set the target to be your focus and setup a bargroup for your focus, no, EBB can't track it.

Ok this question is very simple.
I am a holy paladin and I would like to see how long my buff "Beacon of Light" will still be up(it has a total duration of 1 min) on any target. This spell can only be cast on one target.

So I would like to see 1 bar which says :"Beacon of Light: x:xx"
Is this possible with this addon? yes or no

why this addons dosn't load at all for me. I have Ace2 and all addons are enabled. Do i need any other addon?

So, if I try to use the version from curse I get these errors: http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff316/mlmiller2984/WoWScrnShot_021309_181106.jpg (look at the bottom middle of the screen) If I use the version from wowinterface I have no prolems. Would love to be able to update this along with the rest of my addons via the curse client.

Only reason I ask regarding the version is because mine isn't working now either. EBB isn't working and neither is XLoot.

most likely he refered to r148 on wowace but got confused wrt addon version vs client version.
Though his bug was most likely caused by trying to run disembedded and failing :P

Debuff bars, are they supposed to scale with everything else? I ask because mind aren't scaling ... they are staying huge as heck! :(

Scaling is per bargroup so if you only scaled the buff/tracking group, the debuff and tench groups aren't scaled.

Hi there, since the update yesterday, this addon no longer is working. Is there something I can do or just wait for your update? The standard Blizzard buffs are now in affect.

Error is:
ElkBuffBars.lua:2: Cannot find a library instance of "LibGratuity-3.0".

Never mind. Went to your site and downloaded the newer version. For some reason, Curse only has v303 and your site is v308. anyways, its working now.

I don't know if I'm blind or what but I'm not finding this v308 you are referring to nor do any of the above addresses seem to contain this v308. When you say "your site", what site is that?
