Elkano's BuffBars

EBB provides groups of statusbar style indicators to show (de)buffs currently affecting your char or some other units (currently focus, pet and target). For the player, it can also show indicators for temporary enchants place on it's weapons.

Due to changes Blizzard made with WoW 4.x it's no longer possible to cancel buffs without the use of secure frames. Currently EBB limits canceling of buffs to out-of-fight since using SecureAuraHeader would have required a major code restructuring. This will be coming in a later version.

Version 2.x is a total recode based on the Ace2 framework which became necessary in order to support some of the longtime wanted and suggested features. It's now possible to show different groups of bars which can be configured in many ways. Each group can be assigned an individual look and filter settings. EBB can be configured via a dropdown menu which is accessible via chat (/ebb config), FuBar plugin or (for the group settings) by right clicking the groups anchor. After setting up a group, its anchor can be hidden by alt-left clicking a bar or the anchor itself in order to lock the group in place.

In order to get additional bar textures and fonts for EBB simply install SharedMedia which is available for download under http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/sharedmedia.aspx

Hi,

I search how to show just my curses. i put in blacklist some debuff but if it's the same debuff but if it's the same debuff ? …

also can you improve white and black lists ? acctualy if i disconnect before check or uncheck some new spells they don't apear in the lists. this lists is unlikely maybe a frame with scroll bar and sorting can be a great idea :-)

Since my French is even worse than your English, I'll stick to the latter.

To only show the debuffs you put on the target do the following:
- create a new group
- set its target to TARGET
- set its type filter to DEBUFF only
- enable the selfcast filter

That way the group will only show bars for those debuffs you cast.

The white/blacklist is created on the fly as de/buffs are seen during a session. If you use the intended GUI via DewDrop the list should be sorted and scrollable, though.

I had used Elkano's Buff Bars since shortly after they released and several months ago, they broke for me. Rather than fixing the problem, I simply put up with Blizzard's buff frames for a while.

Now that 3.0 has come out and I am putting the finishing touches on my new UI, I'm trying to get them working again. The problem that I'm running into is that they are not saving any changes I make and so every group I set up disappears when I log in.

The settings do not seem to be saving properly - I tried deleting the files for EBB in the Saved Variables folder, but it didn't work. I have the latest version of the mod but I've been having the same problem since the release of patch 2.4.3.

Does anyone have any ideas that I might be able to use to resolve this issue or any other mods similar in look/functionality to EBB that I might replace it with?

You can't cancel forms that way since 3.x since that is now a protected function call.

Hey there.. I am a big fan of this mod.
But since patch 3 I havent been able to right-click-cancel my "Swift Flight Form" buff. :( Do you why that is, is it some setting I havent found yet?
Hope someone can help me, cause its REALLY annoying.

Love this addon, thank you! Great work making it! I am curious whether it can do 2 things... I looked around and couldn't figure out how:

1. The ability to use a different background color for timeless buffs (so say green for timeless and blue for timed).
2. The ability to disable text wrapping (especially for buff names). The reason is my buff text goes to topleft and time left goes bottomleft. I don't want the buff name to wrap and overlap with the time.

If it can do these two then it's perfect!

to 1: you'll have to create a new group and set the filters to only show timeless buffs. you can then anchor the other group to thatone.
to 2: it's not intended to wrap but to be shortend with "..." I'll have to check that out.

to sum it up Minimap button bag broke Elkanos buff bars, skinner, fubar, simple minimap, weapon rebuff any prob many more i never noticed.

Removing Minimap button bag (mbb) made all my addons work again. :D

Installed latest Minimap button bag with new ebb and caused ebb to stop working.. MBB breaks this, disable it or remove and Elk buff bars works again.

it's a bug in FuBar_ToFu and not one in EBB. seems like ToFu wasn't updated for the WoW 3.x changes.

For the most part works fantastic for me - sometimes though (seems random), the Buff bar for the Tracking doesn't change when I change my Tracking ... the icon does, but not the text. (For example, I have Mining up as my tracking, the bar shows the mining icon and says "Mining" ... if I change tracking to Herbalism, the icon will change to herbalism but the text will still say "Mining").

Small issue, just thought I'd mention. This is a really great addon. :)

it seems the Whitelist is bugy: Add a Buff like Maelstrom Weapon to the Whitelist, that Buff doesn't appear in the Bar, but all other Buffs/Debuffs disappear.

This is exactly what I needed to keep track of my buffs/debuffs. Thanks!

However, I am having a small issue with the tracking module. I figured out how to not show tracking on the buffbars but EBB seems to have removed the tracking button from the side of my minimap. I disabled EBB and the button was there again, enabled EBB and the button was gone. FYI, I use SpartanUI so the minimap is integrated into the SpartanUI code. I'm not sure if this is solely an EBB issue or if it's a issue between EBB and Spartan...either way I want my tracking button back!
Any help would be much appreciated. thanks! :)
