Elkano's BuffBars

EBB provides groups of statusbar style indicators to show (de)buffs currently affecting your char or some other units (currently focus, pet and target). For the player, it can also show indicators for temporary enchants place on it's weapons.

Due to changes Blizzard made with WoW 4.x it's no longer possible to cancel buffs without the use of secure frames. Currently EBB limits canceling of buffs to out-of-fight since using SecureAuraHeader would have required a major code restructuring. This will be coming in a later version.

Version 2.x is a total recode based on the Ace2 framework which became necessary in order to support some of the longtime wanted and suggested features. It's now possible to show different groups of bars which can be configured in many ways. Each group can be assigned an individual look and filter settings. EBB can be configured via a dropdown menu which is accessible via chat (/ebb config), FuBar plugin or (for the group settings) by right clicking the groups anchor. After setting up a group, its anchor can be hidden by alt-left clicking a bar or the anchor itself in order to lock the group in place.

In order to get additional bar textures and fonts for EBB simply install SharedMedia which is available for download under http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/sharedmedia.aspx

the line that is causing the error is 773 in the ElkBuffBars.lua file. It currently reads:

local icon = GetTrackingTexture()

to prevent the error, replace it with:

local icon = nil

This will prevent the error, but is not a complete fix. Tracking buffs will not be handled by the mod.

Hi Elkano, hopefully you can update this mod for 4.0. I have been using this mod to to track my procs and dots for the past 2 years and I have not found a good replacement. You can go to http://www.youtube.com/swmagazine and see how I utilize your mod to track more than just buffs.

I get the dewdrop error on the PTR. Is 4.0.1 not comatible with dewdrop menu? And is thre a workaround in the meantime?

Using the latest beta on the PTR causes massive video lag. Turning it off solves that problem so the cause is definitely related to ElkBuffBars, though it might also involve other addons. However, without EBB enabled everything else appears to behave just fine.

Is it possible to configure the bar so that it doesnt go down one side of the screen but sorts into columns 3 or 4 buffs deep before beginning a new column to the right of the previous?

As it is at the moment it plays havoc with anything opn the right side of my screen I would like to to be unobtrusive and at the top of my screen.

I'd guess it's an error with Grid. EBB only loaded AceLocale first so that's why it's mentioned in the error.

im having a rather annoying problem when switching which bar group i want. i have 2 different sets; a bar for only my diseases and a bar for buffs associated with my gargoyle for PvE, and ill switch those 2 out for a ful range or buffs and another bar for debuffs for PvP. I just created the PvP bars and whenever i turn them off they still show up, which is insanely annoying when theres a huge list of debuffs on a boss covering up an immense portion of my screen. how can i fix this?

It seems to be bugged in 4.0. The buffs are still displayed but I couldn't get the anchors to show etc. I ended up disabling the addon...
An update would be greatly appreciated :)

It would be pro if there was a way to cause the bars to preform a new set of bars beside it's default position, to prevent a vertical spam of bars submerging over your UI, ie. Sunn Viewpoint Art.

Is there anyway to set specific color bars for each ability? So for example when I get the Slice and Dice buff... it is yellow timer bar. Then when I use Blade Flurry... it is an orange timer bar.
